will you go to prom with me?
Tumblr media
summary: prom is near, and your sweet, popular friend will do anything to have you as his date.
with: Gojo Satoru.
warnings: yandere behavior, blackmailing (not from satoru), slight blood mentions.
words: 1448.
a/n: i'm just gonna sit back and pretend this didn't give me chills. thinking of turning this into a series, but i'll hold myself from now haha
Tumblr media
"Go to prom with me." It's not what you'd expect to hear on a Tuesday morning, right after a wearing History class. Even more so coming from the mouth of no other than Gojo Satoru, the coolest, most desired boy in school.
Yes, you've been friends with him for almost a year. And yes, you get on very well together, crack some side-jokes at classes, sometimes go out to grab some food, do homework at the library, and even stay up at night until sunrise on the phone, freaking out while studying for a math exam that none of you knew about it — or not paying attention, to be more honest.
So yeah, you're friends. But it's Gojo Satoru we're talking about. And Gojo Satoru is just way out of anyone's league.
You're simply dumbfounded.
"I—" You swallow hard, feeling like you just lost your memory and no longer know how to complete sentences. You're feeling a lot of things, honestly, the guy you've had so many daydreams with saying he wants to have you as his partner, and there you are, a pile of nerves trying to hide the hard, loud way your heart beats inside.
And it's not that you don't want to accept it. Heck, you want to say yes so badly, how many times did you catch yourself watching those sappy rom coms and wondering if you and the white-haired boy would make a fine couple like that. He's the whole package, and if those gorgeous blue eyes and jaw-dropping looks weren't enough, he's also so kind to you, that you can't help but develop a crush.
But as expected, he didn't catch only your attention, but the whole school as well. Kaya Nami, one of the troublemaker cheerleaders, is in the line and does everything she can to make sure nothing gets in her way.
"If I were you, I'd stay away from Satoru Gojo. You won't like having me as an enemy, believe me." She threatened you last Friday, right during PE class. Confused wasn't enough to describe how you felt, but you didn't say anything back to not cause drama, only nodding and watching her head off like nothing happened.
"...I'm sorry, Satoru, but I can't." And unfortunately, that warning was enough to hinder you from making the choice you wanted.
It goes without saying how astounded Gojo was by your answer, that probably being his first time ever being rejected. "What do you mean 'you can't'?" And then his tone dropped an octave, changing to something more seething. "Did someone ask you? You said yesterday to me that you didn't get invited."
"And you're right, I didn't get it." You try to reason, not liking the way he's bothered by your rejection. " it's just... I didn't think you wanted to go with me!" And you didn't lie, even though you said it more as an excuse.
"Well, now you know." He gets closer, almost making you hit your back at the locker behind you. His eyes say he didn't buy any of your excuses. "So, why can't you go? I mean, I know how overwhelming my beauty can be, but you're just as pretty, sweetheart."
His mood suddenly changes to the usual Gojo Satoru, the cheeky guy who enjoys flustering you for fun. Grazing your chin between his index and thumb, he looks deep at you. "I'll give you the best time you ever had. Just be my date."
It takes everything on you to not jump in his arms and let yourself get swept off your feet. Why does he have to make this so difficult? Taking a deep breath, you remember the headache you're gonna get if you don't make the right choice. "Satoru, I'd love to be your date, really. It's just, I think there's someone else that would make a better date than me."
He stares at you with an unreadable expression. You don't know if he got angrier or had enough of your pitiful answers, but you wish you could be able to read only a fraction of Satoru's mind, cause he's staring for too long at you, and you don't know what else to say other than stare back at him.
Finally, he steps back, diverting his gaze to a random spot for a moment before moving to look at you again. Sliding his hands inside his pants pockets, he seems to accept the situation, but you're still not sure of what you see. "I guess you're not changing your mind, huh? Then tell me, who's this 'perfect match'  that you think would be better for me?" He questions with a hint of disdain, but he tries to hide it with a small side smile.
The girl appears in the scene before you can mention her name as if she was waiting for the right opportunity to pounce and make her move on him. By the way your shoulders slump and your eyes lower to the ground, he quickly assumes that she's the person you were talking about earlier and that for some reason, she's making you very uncomfortable. Not you nor Nami noticed the way Gojo glares at a blank spot. Thinking, he mindlessly accepts the blond girl's invitation to lunch, giving you a brief hug before going away. "If that's what you want." He whispers unexpectedly in your ear, offering you a final smile before letting himself be guided to the cafeteria.
You spend the rest of the day wanting to beat yourself for wasting the chance you had to go out with Satoru. You don't talk to him as much during the week, since Nami was making sure to grab every second of his free time at break. It didn't take too long to figure out that both of them would go to prom together, and even though you were the one who made that happen, it still stings to imagine them having a good time.
Prom day arrives, and in the end, no one invites you. It wasn't something completely unexpected, but to be honest, you were hoping that at least one of your friends would be kind enough to want you as a company just so you could all enjoy the "night to remember". Honestly, you didn't want to miss such an important event, and even though there was a chance that you'd make a fool of yourself, it's still your prom, and you have the right to make the most of it, with or without someone.
Kicking away the self-pity, you dressed up and got ready for the special night, wearing that beautiful gown that you remember once showing on Pinterest to Satoru, months before the event. Checking your purse one more time, you catch your phone to ask for a cab, when you hear three familiar knocks on your front door.
Opening your house, you come face to face with someone you never would've imagined seeing at that moment. There stood Gojo Satoru, with a black tuxedo that perfectly accentuates his body, a bouquet of pink camellias in his left hand, glasses off, and a beautiful lopsided smile.
"...Wow." The combo of his honest compliment, his lingering, fond gaze in your direction, and the fact that you made him momentarily speechless, makes your whole self overwhelmed with endearing sensations, especially your warm cheeks.
But that passes too quickly since you don't understand the sudden visit.
"S-Satoru? What are you doing here?" You didn't want this to be the first thing to say to him, but you're so confused, that you don't know what else to say. "I thought you were going out with Nami. Where is she?"
Awakening from the brief trance you provoked in him, the white-haired boy only increases his smile in a rather strange way. " Didn't you know? Mina got in an accident yesterday, she fell from the stairs and ended up breaking her leg."
One more time, you were taken by surprise. As for your friend, he doesn't sound as worried as you imagined he would be after giving this message, but he still makes a respectful pause after saying it.
Satoru also notices your reaction, observing the way you empathetic self got sad for that girl's situation. Little did you know that she got exactly what deserved. And if you looked more closely at your gift, instead of worrying yourself, you'd notice the blood stains around the wrapping paper, the remains of what your future partner did to prove his love.
To his luck, you're just too pure to realize what you don't need to. And for that, Satoru smiles, gazing at you with sparks again.
"So now, will you go to prom with me?"

— hope is a thing with feathers!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ft. sunday and robin as your older siblings (headcannons)
cw: youngest sibling in the fam, gn! reader, family fluff, reader is between ages 12-14, PLATONIC, i went silly on some of them, reader is a halovian but no specified appearance other than halo and wings
a/n’s note: sunday and robin’s relationship mean sm to me its not even funny like HOYO PLZ MAKE THEM REUNITE I WILL SCREAM IF THEY DONT :((( honestly wish i had them as family yk
Tumblr media
SUNDAY:
— even though he’s the leader of penacony and doesn’t have time to always spend time with you, sunday always makes up for it when he can.
— if you ever need help with an essay or math homework, he’ll assist you with it. even if it’s fucking 2+2, bro would still help you. heck at this point, he’ll do the whole worksheet for you. sunday loves you that much dawg.
— sunday would be rlly supportive for you, no matter what!! he’d encourage you to pursue your dreams, whether that’s becoming a nameless, a performer for the iris family, or something else entirely, he’ll be there alongside you every step of the way :3
— he’d be a bit strict with you, since you’re still young. would probably give you a curfew for when its night, like making you go to bed at 9pm at least. maybe a little later on the weekends. (does time even exist in the dreamscape i dont remember.)
— if you ask sunday VERY politely, (he’ll still oblige), he’ll sing you a lullaby for when you have trouble sleeping. tuck your blanket under your chin too while he’s at it, hehehe.
— LMAO IDK WHY THIS IS SO FUNNY TO ME but imagine you’re dating someone and introduce sunday to your significant other, I FEEL LIKE HE’D BE POLITE AND ALL THAT BUT AS SOON AS YALL DILLY DALLY OR WTV HE’D BE GIVING THEM SIDE GLANCES EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE.
— like i said, he IS protective of you and will go on a rampage if they’re toxic or hurtful to you. :)
— btw, if you watched robin’s trailer, you can catch a glimpse of sunday polishing her halo. and yes, he would polish your halo too, since you’re also halovian, sometimes even preen your wings too if he’s not too busy.
— if you take band or theatre arts in school or figure skating, acrobatics or just SOMETHING that includes performances, sunday doesn’t give a shit if he has something to do, he will find a way to go to every single one bc he doesn’t wanna disappoint you as an older brother :(
— pats your head. a lot. literally a mom-sibling, you can’t tell me otherwise. will occasionally pick your outfits and asks for your opinion before you go out or make sure your school uniform is crisp and unwrinkled. (if your school has uniforms.)
— overall, sunday is a doting and compassionate older brother. he loves you with his whole being. <3
Tumblr media
ROBIN:
— the best, nicest, loving, caring older sister you will ever have in your entire lifespan.
— like sunday, she would help you in any way possible. but she’s not the best when it comes to math homework :(( if you want, she’ll give you a pep talk though!! and trust me, robin gives out the best ad most encouraging pep talks ever like..
— if you do something hella devious, even if its 101% your fault, she’d side with you no matter what. this girl hardly gets to be silly due to her superstar reputation but when she has the chance, plz just let her be. (yall can be devious together.)
— would brush your hair for you!! it doesn’t matter whether you have short or long ass rapunzel-looking hair, she will somehow find a way to style it.
— definitely sang you songs during your childhood, and she still does! robin would hum a tune when you can’t sleep, or you simply just wanna destress and don’t feel like doing anything else. <3
— also like sunday, since she travels a lot, she’ll always make up for the lost time by brinking trinkets and gifts, maybe even bring you along with her during her one of her tours!
— also incredibly supportive in your passions! want to become a performer like her? she’ll be there rooting for you on the sidelines! wanna learn to sing and follow in her footsteps? sure, she’ll gladly teach you for free! (not like you had to pay anyway teehee.)
— robin would be somewhat protective of you as well, just not too strictly. after all, you should experience as much of the outside world as you can. 🎀
— i feel like she’s a horrible money spender.. (same..) if robin sees you glance at a piece of jewelry or smth hella expensive for 0.00001 nanoseconds, suddenly it’s in a gift bag at your desk when you get home from school with a little note from her along with some pastries she thought you’d like.
— if you gift her something, whether its handmade or you bought it with your own money, chances are she’ll keep it for the rest of eternity and repay you with a gift of her choice as well!!
— overall, robin is a sweet and soft older sister and is always there for you, no matter the distance that separates you!

🫂—————🫂 Couldn’t even say it.
Didn’t want to look him in the eyes and just say it.
Steve’s been holding on. He has. Hands to the ground, fingers in the soil, gravel under his nails. Been holding fast to his parents. Claw marks on his mom’s calves and a ring of teeth on his dad’s neck. Fighting for purchase against everything his parents want him to be; the words they have to say when he’s behind his bedroom door and feigning sleep. When he’s ear against the wood, teeth in his bottom lip, holding back cries—“How does our kid get a fucking D in math class? We’re business people!”
He’ll always be absurd to his parents.
To his mom, he is the long lost love of her life. He is the flower nearly wilted in her palms, plucked fresh from the grass, tufts of petals blowing behind her. The thing she always wanted; that she gave name to; that she thought she needed. She knew his name before anything else. Said it her self, holding the remnants of her childhood doll—“I named him Steven,” she had told him, “a mighty little lion with a great, big roar. I held him close every night, just as I will do with you, my little lion.” He was born small, premature, wrinkled and crying. He was placed upon her chest the same way a bouquet is laid on a casket—with love and loss, grieving just begun. It didn’t take long for her to change. For her voice to grow sharp and loud and angry. Disappointed, too.
Just a disappointment to them, that’s what he was. Didn’t win the championships? Disappointment. Got third in the second grade spelling bee? Disappointment. Barely graduated high school? Dis-a-fucking-ppointment.
It was shown in the way he never met his dad’s expectations. Ruler slaps on the wrists, wooden spoon to his bottom, the time out corner. Sometimes, he’d drop his homework on “accident”, to explain why he didn’t have it. Why they couldn’t see the big, fat, red F on his assignments, scrawled dark and heavy, circled with that perfect penmanship his teachers always had—always had for the failures in class. He’d have to get his report cards signed, but he’d forge them. He’d have conferences, but he’d always “forget” to invite his parents.
And it was better when they’d leave for business trips. Always too long, over staying their welcome in out-of-state hotels, in foreign countries they’d never be built for. It was better because he didn’t have to explain. It was better because he could get away with being human. He could show up tired to school, could get a bad grade and feel relief, could fuck up big time on a test and have no repercussions (especially if he went home and deleted voicemails from their answering machine), and he could graduate by the skin of his teeth. Take up the extracurriculars, do the bare minimum, not have to try so hard to be somebody he isn’t.
Of course he didn’t make it into college, not with his skill set. Of course he didn’t try again—not because he didn’t care, but because he simply couldn’t. Of course he worked dead-end retail full time; it’s all his parents could think to do with him—it gave him time away from home for eight hours or more, so it was a win for everybody.
But underneath all of that—beneath the scoldings and the physical punishments and the hot spit in his face—there were absent words, too. Absent gestures.
Steve doesn’t remember the last time he embraced his parents. Doesn’t remember the last time he heard ‘I love you.’ Doesn’t remember the sweetness of growing up. It was all tainted, taken from him, buried under the soil—the soil he grips to, nose deep in it, sniffing for where the bones have been buried.
He’s twenty now. None of it should matter. It shouldn’t matter at all that he can’t get those three words out of his parents’ mouth. Or that he can’t gauge the weight of arms on his shoulders, arms that aren’t his friends, arms that aren’t the ex-chief of police. Yet, of course it all does.
Nearly six months after Vecna, after the earthquake, after he helped save the world like some vigilante superhero, his parents finally come home. They come home with overflowing suitcases and permanent scowls, stomping and clicking through the front door, keys heavy in a bowl, jackets hung firmly, and his name on their tongue: “Steven!”
They come home with a medical bill in their hands. Thousands of dollars “down the drain.”
And Steve greets them with a neck scar visible above the collar of his current blue henley. His hair down to his shoulders, bangs itching to stab his eyeballs. With thin white lines on his knuckles. A gritted smile on his sullen, tired, pasty face.
“What is this?” His dad had hissed, flicking his right wrist, the paper wrinkled and noisy in his hand. “Thousands! You’ve cost us thousands of dollars!”
“I had surgery,” Steve tried to explain—voice meek, small, already timid—“got mauled by some…vicious and frightened dogs during the earthquake that happened. Guess that’s what happens when you try and help out.” He gave a nervous chuckle and stepped side to side. Buy that, he internally plead, just buy it and berate me and we can move on with our day.
His mom didn’t say anything in this. Face hard-set, painted lips flat, eyes sharp. She was unclasping the earrings hanging heavy from her earlobes, fisting them in her palms, bending down to pick up the stilettos she stepped out of, and then she evaded the conversation. Just went up the steps like a ghost, barely making a sound, simply gliding. He wanted her to come back, to stop this, to stand up for him—wanted what they had when he was really little, when she cared. When she held him close. When she promised.
His dad scoffed. “And you didn’t use your own insurance?”
“I don’t…I thought that I was still on the family plan?”
Steve was then leveled with a stare. A familiar stare. One that conveys exactly what his dad won’t say yet, “Disappointment.” His dad sighed. “Well, you aren’t. Which you would know if you listened”—
“Nobody told me! How am I supposed to”—
“Don’t talk back, Steven. You shouldn’t have to be told everything.” The paper had been thrusted forward, right into Steve’s chest. He gripped for it before it fell to the ground—where his heart has already been mushed into the hardwood. His dad stepped around him, around his heart, retreating towards the dining room and kitchen, fiddling with the band of his watch. “Have you found a job yet? Any college acceptance letters? An apartment?”
He huffed and followed. Bitter, “No. I’ve been recovering from surgery. Physical therapy, a couple skin grafts, my antibiotics…I told you about it over the phone the last time you cared to even call and check in on me.” Immediately, Steve had bit his tongue. Too much, too fast.
The Stare.
“That’s no way to talk to people, Steven.”
“But I”—
“When did you become so uncouth?” His dad scoffed a humorless laugh and drifted towards the kitchen sink.
The kitchen had always been too big for just the two of them. Spacious, many cabinets, the best of the best in terms of appliances. Not a single stain on the countertop. No cracks in the tiles. All of it clean, seemingly unused. Maintained to be picture perfect.
Just as Steve had been most of his life.
His dad continued on, “You’re supposed to be in college right now. Making something of yourself. Instead you’re—what—standing in the kitchen, holding a medical bill you cost me because you were trying to save dogs? Dogs, Steven? You could be doing something with your life! Could be going to school to become a doctor like that Hagan boy. Whatever happened to Thomas anyway?”
Steve stayed silent, still biting his tongue—his dad already knew about Tommy. Small in the doorway. Hunched in and looking at the ground, bile risen in his throat, the scars on his back and sides aching.
“But”—a sigh—“nope. Saving dogs. What are we going to do with you? Should’ve sent you to military school like Robert Kelly’s kid, I heard he’s doing great these days. You’ve always been defiant, though, so I’m sure that gig would’ve been drilled straight into the ground.”
The sink turned on, his dad had washed his hands. Wiped away the residual weight of the medical bill from his palms. A medical bill that he never bothered to ask about before. Just like the other ones. Like the other concussions. The fights that put the family name at risk. The bruises and blood that ruined poor Steve’s reputation.
If only he knew the truth.
His dad went to say something else, but instead—
“Why don’t you care?” Steve bit, “you never cared. This isn’t the first bill. Why does it even matter how much you have to spend? You’re my dad; you’re supposed to care about me.”
A different stare this time. Squinted eyes. Furrowed eyebrows.
Are you challenging me, is what this one said, are you doubting me?
“When you’re saving dogs? Why should I bother, Steven?”
“Because I’m your son! Because I—I need your help! It shouldn’t matter what I’ve been doing. It should matter that I almost died.”
He rolled his eyes. “Died,” his dad muttered—a soft, bewildered echo. “Stop being so”—
“Why don’t you just love me? Why won’t you love me just as I am? I need you to care. I need you to…to treat me like I’m your kid. Not some friend. Or some business partner. Your son. But you…you don’t love me?” He shifted again, side to side, boiling and ashamed and ready to puddle into the fine porcelain of the tiles. “You don’t love me enough to call and ask why you need to pay a medical bill. You didn’t bother to even know an ounce.
“It’s like that every time with you. All those stupid concussions. You didn’t want to take me to the hospital. Didn’t want to pay it off. Worried about your stupid last name. About the family image. I almost die and all you care about is the fact my life is costing you money.
“Money is more important than me, that’s all you’ve shown.”
Another scoff. “Don’t be so”—
“Ridiculous? Unreasonable? Dramatic? Stupid?
“Why are you so incapable of loving me? That’s all I want! For you and mom to…to hold me and tell me that you love me! But you…you only care when I cost you money! Why can’t you care?! I want you to—I want you to be my dad! What’s so wrong with that? With loving me? Why am I such a hard person to love? Why can’t I just…just be enough for you?!”
Finally fallen silent, Steve stood still in the kitchen’s entryway. A world between worlds. Tired, heaving, stomach turning. Palms sweating, wetting the dumb bill that ruined this all.
It remained silent. With his dad looking at him.
Those hazel eyes and his square jaw. The same face Steve sees staring back at him in the mirror. And yet his own isn’t enough to love.
There is nothing.
And so he kept standing, empty, words dead to the floor, heart by the front door. He took a deep breath through his nose, remembered the path to his get-away bag—a bag he packed in sophomore year of high school, after a terrible basketball game, when he was slapped on the back of the head for failing to make the winning shot. It has a new toothbrush and tube of toothpaste, emergency cash, hygiene products, a new wardrobe that coincides with his current size, and all his important documents—nothing of his family’s. He had what he needed packed in his closet.
So, he left. Chose to go. Before his dad had the chance.
Let the possibilities die in the air. What could’ve been if there wasn’t so much space and so many expectations between them.
Who knew saving the world would be the ending of your own?
Who knew love was such a price to pay?
——— Now, he finds himself parked outside of Eddie’s. The backpack in the passenger seat. Leaves it for now, unsure if he’ll be wanted. But he knocks on the door regardless.
There’s a moment where there’s nothing.
Him and the blackness of the trailer park. The rustle of grass in the gentle, autumn breeze. People chattering a few doors down, over cigarettes it smells like. Max’s own bedroom light is out, most likely asleep right now. Chain link fence glinting with the very little moonlight that’s there. Fresh weeds on the outskirts, born from the rain.
Serenity around his turmoil. A constant anger still stewing, bubbling, steaming within him.
What if Eddie can’t handle him right now?
What if he has to crawl through Robin’s window, leave her with words, run for the hills?
What if…what if…what if?
“Steve?” Eddie calls softly, sing-song like he’s tried already.
He whips back around from where he’d been looking out at the grass. Shuffling. “Oh, hey, Eds. Sorry—I—Just…Can I come in, please?”
Eddie steps aside for him. Lets him in without words. Until, “You’re shaking, sweetheart. Is everythin’ alright?”
“Hm? Yeah…yeah, yeah…I think that I—Think I just moved out of my parents’ house?”
A soft, surprised sound behind him. The click of the door closing. “Yeah, you think?” Gentle.
Everything is gentle here.
The amber light in the living room. Rows of hats. Shelves of mugs. Family pictures proud on the fridge, next to yellowed drawings in crayon, all hung up with goofy Garfield magnets. There’s an open box of Honeycomb on the table, a fresh bowl poured. A carton of milk turned so that the missing persons report could be read.
When he was younger, Steve imagined being on one of those panels. What it would be like. To have gone missing. Not a note or a clue or a peep. To have his parents care enough to find him. Now, though…now it feels like they wouldn’t even bat an eye. Maybe it would’ve been the same back then, too.
“Yeah,” Steve murmurs, “he got mad about a medical bill for that surgery I had. And I just…god, it’s embarrassing.” He lets out a humorless chuckle, too similar to his dad’s—a sound he will always recognize as that, from his father’s chest. Horrid and wretched. Something rotten in him, too, it seems. “I asked him why he doesn’t…doesn’t care about me. Why he doesn’t love me. I mean…who does that?” Steve makes eye contact with Eddie, who must’ve gotten closer, stepped right in front of him. With very little courage, the last dredges of it in his veins, he speaks, “They let me live in their house, eat their food, use their shit. Was that wrong of me? Am I…am I stupid for asking?”
Eddie inhales hard and deep. “Oh, Steve,” he breathes.
“It had to be, right? Of course my parents love me. They’re my parents!”
“Steve, that’s”—
“I get it, y’know. I get that it’s hard to love me. I know that, you know. But I don’t…the way he looked at me, Eddie, I knew he knew that too. I don’t think they—Why am I such a hard person to love? Is it me? Is it something wrong with me?”
He’s unsure if that was rhetorical, if he really wanted that answer. But as it is, he’s aware of the ache in his head, the burn between his eyebrows, the need and want to pinch the bridge of his nose. The tears that rise—ones that won’t fall, not without his permission. Without permission at all.
Instead of an answer, at least not right away, Eddie envelops him with languid movements and a warm body. Heavy arms on his aching back, hands pressing firm to his taut muscles, rubbing up and down his rigid spine. There’s breaths and words and kisses murmured against his eardrum. A chest rising and falling against his own. Tickling hair.
And instead of protesting, Steve clings back hard. Harder than he’s ever held anything.
Digging fingers into a t-shirt—the soil. Not wanting to let go. Never wanting to let go. Not when he’s finally getting part of what he wanted, to just be held. Maybe not by his parents, the real dream, but at least it’s something.
Somewhere in it all, in their mess of limbs and their mingled pulses, Steve cries—giving that allowance. Sobbing big, aching, roaring hiccups into the soft spots of Eddie’s neck. Wet breaths and wetter tears. Letting go until he has nothing left to give—and then some. His head is aching already, eyebrows pinching, eyes heavy on his already too heavy face.
He’s tired.
More tired than he thinks he’s ever been.
This must be the adrenaline crash. Makes him realize all the ways he’s hurting. His back and his legs and his fingers. His head and his teeth. His heart. And here he is, screaming all of his pain into the gentle parts of Eddie, where he’s offered and where he’s swaddled.
“Shhh,” Eddie’s whispering, “shh, Stevie, you gotta calm down a little for me. Just a little, I’ve gotcha.” They’re moving somewhere. Shoes scraping and dragging against carpet. Set down on a soft cushion—the couch, then—with words still murmured in his ear. “I’ve gotcha,” Eddie says, “he doesn’t deserve you, sweetheart. I’ve gotcha…I’ve gotcha.”
“Why can’t—I don’t—Love”—he stops himself with a wet, spraying cough-gag onto Eddie’s warm skin.
Hands press into his shoulder blades, dragging firmly down his spine. And then fingers at the ends of his hair, a thumb pressing into the knobs of his neck. Eddie sways them back and forth gently. “You’re gonna choke,” Eddie murmurs, “take a deep breath, baby. Just one breath for me, that’s all.” He obliges, inhaling hard through his nose, trying to release it as slow as possible through his mouth—not incredibly, but just enough. “Good,” Eddie says, “good job. You can cry, sweetheart, but you gotta keep breathing good for me.”
Again, he does what Eddie tells him to do. Wetting his skin more with each deep breath he blows out. And when he’s just a shivering, hiccuping mess in Eddie’s arms, he finally allows himself to relax—to loosen.
Eddie presses a kiss to his left temple. Then he pulls away just enough so they can see each other’s faces. He swipes the hair out of Steve’s face, gentle with every touch he gives. “You’re gonna stay here with me, alright?”
“What about”—
“Wayne’ll understand, I promise. I’ll grab your stuff. I want you to just sit right here, okay? And when I come back in, we’ll just relax for the rest of the night.”
“I’m tired.”
“Then we’ll just go to bed, okay?” Eddie kisses his temple again. He pulls himself off of Steve and gets off of the couch with a, “I’ll be right back.”
Steve only nods at Eddie’s back, now slumped into the couch.
Disappointment rings loud in his head. At least he didn’t let his parents say it this time. But once it’s ingrained in him, he knows the way it should sound. Dripping with ire—red and loud and bass boosted from his dad’s mouth. And yet he doesn’t know what ‘I love you’ sounds like coming from either of them; or at least he doesn’t remember.
He’s gone and unloaded himself here. Not that he intended for that to happen.
There wasn’t really a plan when he drove over to Forest Hills. Maybe the naked branches of one. He’d come over, tell Eddie what happened, maybe get so overworked that he started to cry, and then he’d slip out without another word. Just get back in his car, leave a note or something for Robin, and evade Hawkins all together. Though, now that he’s out of that house, maybe his parents will finally take the initiative on getting out of this town. It’s something they always wanted, something they always threatened they’d do if Steve didn’t shape up. Now would be the time, he supposes, now that he’s left with the last crumbs of his dignity.
A few minutes later, still stuck to the back of the couch, Eddie comes in through the front door. That one backpack in his grip. Fingers tight on one strap, looking at it with confusion.
“Is this all of your stuff?”
He shrugs. “My go bag.”
“Go bag,” Eddie echoes.
“Yeah, I’ve had it packed since sophomore year. Just in case, y’know.”
Eddie inhales in that slow way he does. “Yeah,” he whispers, “yeah, I get that.” He hefts the bag up and down. “It’s just…just really light, sweetheart. Are you sure you have everything you need?”
He nods resolutely. “Stuff can be replaced. It’s fine.”
The couch dips beside him. His eyes drifting from his lap, up to where Eddie’s looking directly at him. That backpack between his feet—limp and folding in on itself from how empty it is. There’s a question on the tip of Eddie’s tongue. Hesitantly, “What was your plan, sweetheart?”
He shrugs again. “See if I could spend the night here and then…I don’t know? Figure it out as I go, I guess. Didn’t wanna be a burden or anything.”
“You’re not a burden,” Eddie states firmly, “you are never a burden to me or anybody else in our friend group.”
“But”—
Eddie lays his hand on his forearm, squeezing him tight. “I want you to stay right here with me. I want you to eat my food and sleep in my bed and take up space, you got that?”
Steve sniffles. Wetly, “Are you sure? I can get a hotel or some”—
“Stay here.” Eddie squeezes his forearm again. His eyes bounce between Steve’s own. Then, he murmurs, “I love you”—which is the first time he’s said it—“and I hate your parents with the most sincere hate I could send a person. But you…you, Steve, are worth loving and caring for. No matter what.”
“But what if you grow tired of me? I mean…my parents, they”—
“No matter what. Steve, I will always care and love and respect you as a human being even if our relationship fails—for some reason, which I can’t even think of a reason, so we’ll be okay.” Eddie hefts the backpack in his other hand, still light and still collapsing in on itself. “Now, how ‘bout we get ourselves to bed?”
Steve swallows, darts his eyes over Eddie’s face. Nods once, the last of his tears rescinding. “I’m so tired, Eds.” But it sounds like more than that. The weight of those words falling off his tongue, the hollowness of his mouth all that he has left afterwards.
Eddie frowns lightly. His hand goes up to Steve’s face, cupping his cheek gently, wiping his thumb under his left eye. “I know, baby,” he murmurs, “I know.” He sniffs himself, something small, but that’s when Steve notices that Eddie’s eyes are wet, too. “I wish I knew how to completely fix everything for you. I’m sorry your parents won’t be your parents.” Then, he stands up from the couch, hand out for Steve to grasp—which he does. “Let’s go to bed, sweetheart. We’ll talk more about this when we’re rested up.”
In the bedroom, Eddie sits Steve’s bag on his dresser. Rifles through it and tutting the entire time he does. Steve probably could’ve packed some pajamas in there, but it’s fine. It’s fine because it needs to be fine. Instead of making some retort, Eddie easily grabs Steve a set of pajamas—some fleece red pants and a white t-shirt—and hands them off.
They change in silence. He brushes his teeth alongside Eddie’s, placing his own toothbrush in the same cup. Even as awful as this day has been, the sight of their toothbrushes together makes him a little giddy—something in him warm.
Once under the covers, Eddie drags Steve into him. An arm wrapped around his shoulders, chin to the top of his head, stroking fingers up and down his spine, connecting the dots of the many moles on his back. Treating him with the same love and reverence as always, as if nothing in their lives has changed. The normal is…nice in the aftermath.
“Eds?”
“Hm?”
“I love you, too,” Steve whispers, “thank you for this.” He shuffles in closer, probably too close. Arms bent awkwardly, legs tangled in one another, his cheek pressed flush with Eddie’s chest. His heart is beating strong and hard, Steve turns his head to kiss it. “I’ll figure out a way to make it up”—
“Nope,” Eddie mows over, voice soft, yet firm, “not doing that. No making up that needs to be done.”
He huffs out a laugh. “Okay, fine,” he sighs, relenting. “You’ll regret saying that once you realize how messy I am.”
Eddie snorts. “Have you met me? Think we’ll be a-okay. Go to sleep.”
Steve drags his lips over Eddie’s chest one more time, blowing a raspberry against his skin. Laughing when Eddie squawks.
“Go to sleep, sweetheart.”
“Fine…fine, I’ll go to sleep. I love you, Eds.”
“Love you, too.” He squeezes Steve’s shoulders. “We’ll talk more in the morning, okay? But you’re safe here—take up space.”
Tonight doesn’t fix everything. But…but he can learn to be loud. With Eddie guiding him, that shouldn’t be much of a problem at all. Not at all.

I can imagine a teen MC going to Satan for help with their homework from the human world and he just… can’t do Highschool math.
Of course he can help with English and science, and obviously he’s good at history he was there when those things were happening.
All goes well until MC pulls out their algebra homework.
He tries to help, really he tries everything he can think of to figure it out… but he just can’t.
And it’s not because he can’t solve a simple algebra problem it’s just that the way math has been taught changed quite a bit since the last time he actually had to do any algebra.
He simply just can’t figure out what they want you to do from how the question is worded, and since when did they change the formulas?
Eventually he gets so stressed from it he ends up caving in and going to Lucifer.
Except he can’t solve it either. Of course he doesn’t admit he can’t figure out how to solve it, his ego would be wounded. But he does go on a slight rant about how it’s stupid that humans keep changing simple math.
Somehow the others get involved, and now you have seven demons crowded around your math homework trying their best to figure it out.
Even Belphie is awake and Levi came out of his room. Asmo calls Solomon, hoping he would remember something about Highschool math.
Except he hasn’t even been to Highschool… he’s lived so long that when he was born school wasn’t really a thing, and when it did become a more common thing he just kinda went to college then studied magic.
Somehow Solomon gets Barbatos involved along with Diavolo, and now the prince of the devildom is trying (and failing) to do a simple math problem meant for fifteen year olds. Simeon gets called over by Solomon, thinking that maybe he would know. But no, he hasn’t studied math since a couple centuries ago.
Now you have nine demons a human and an angel desperately trying to solve a math problem.
Eventually you just grab the paper away for a second and use photomath to get the answer. You decide that it’s better to leave them be after finishing the whole paper without their help, they’ll figure it out eventually.
-Yes this is inspired by the fact that I tried to help a younger cousin with her math homework and I felt so old since math genuinely changed since I was in high school. Seriously that was only like six years ago why did it change?

genre— fluff, high school au
synopsis— riki’s crush can’t seem to stop calling him “bro”
warnings— teasing, probably grammatical errors
word count— 621
author’s note— pulled this bad boy outta my drafts
Tumblr media
“ok class, looks like we’re done early. just stay in your seats and wait for the bell to ring before leaving!” your math teacher ordered while erasing the board.
“just a few more minutes until lunch,” you said as you began to answer a question on your math homework.
“finally, I’m starving” riki complained while watching you. you sat at the desk next to him, working diligently on the homework your teacher had just assigned.
“we just spent 40 minutes straight doing math problems, why are you doing even more math?” riki asked, somewhat disgusted.
“so I have less homework to do later,” you stated simply, picking up your calculator and punching in some numbers.
“I feel like you’re always doing homework,” riki replied.
“bro what?? I don’t think so,” you shrugged while writing down a number.
“oh really? then what else do you do?” riki asked.
“uhmm… well…” you started, beginning to lose focus on your homework.
“see? you don’t do anything else but study, you’re so boringgg,” riki said, rolling his eyes.
“me? boring? yeah right!” you scoffed, permanently shifting your attention away from your homework and now to riki.
“this is why you don’t have a boyfriend,” riki teased, which only made you more annoyed.
“excuse me?! I’ll have you know that I could easily get a boyfriend if I wanted one!” you defended yourself which only made riki laugh.
“what’s so funny?! you’re single too, idiot!” you snapped, making riki go silent.
“I don’t even think you have a crush on anyone because you’re such an anti-romantic,” you rolled your eyes before going back to working on your homework. but now riki was completely silent and the sudden silence was slowly killing you on the inside.
“you don’t have a crush on anyone…right?” you asked, looking back up at riki. he looked away, which made you go “ooooh” in a curious tone.
“so you dooo have a crush? tell me who it is!!” you insisted but riki shook his head no.
“tell me! tell me! tell meeee!” you begged, poking his shoulder.
“it doesn’t really matter. I don’t think I have a good chance with her anyways,” riki stated, hoping that you would stop bugging him.
“what do you mean ‘you don’t have a good chance?’” you asked, even more intrigued than before.
“well…” riki sighed, accepting his fate. he knew he had to tell you or else you wouldn’t stop annoying him.
“she keeps brozoning me…” riki admitted, making you tilt your head in confusion.
“brozoning you?” you asked.
“yeah, like she’s always calling me ‘bro.’ so I don’t think she likes me,” riki explained, which made you furrow your eyebrows.
“brooo that doesn’t even matter though,” you replied, trying to reassure riki.
however, riki just went silent again as he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
whilst sitting in silence, the realization finally clicked in your brain, causing you to widen your eyes.
“oh,” you muttered, making riki slightly nod his head.
“yeah,” riki said under his breath, avoiding your gaze.
“well in that case… I think you have a pretty good chance with her,” you said whilst smiling, catching riki completely off guard.
before either of you could say anything else, the bell rang and your classmates began to rush out of the classroom. riki watched you put your folders and notebook into your backpack. with a small smile plastered across your face, you swung your bag over your shoulder and scurried out of the classroom. snapping back into reality, riki quickly shoved his belongings into his backpack, swung it over his shoulder, and ran out of the room after you.
I guess you could say riki was no longer in the “brozone.”

Happy Wife Happy Life
Tumblr media
□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□
pairing: Clarisse La Rue x fem!reader
summary: being Clarisse's "wife" will always have it's perks
a/n: honestly don't know how to feel about this but I'm tired. anyway, kinda hate the ending. and my writing lol.
□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□
Love is the greatest thing.
At least, in your eyes it is.
It can bring the strongest people to their knees, risking their lives or others lives just so that they can keep their person happy. It's always been amazing to you.
Not so much in your best friend Clarisse's. She'd much rather have the glory of being the strongest kid in school, or be feared by your classmates. "Love is stupid." She always tells you while she watches you study under the willow tree she likes climbing.
"No, it's not. It's powerful. You like powerful things don't you?" You'd say back with an airy laugh, then forcing her to come back down from the branches so you can help her with her math homework.
She's heard lots about the emotion called jealousy, but she'd never truly felt it until she saw Holly Bracken kiss your cheek during recess one day. The tightening of the chest, the way her throat went dry and she clenched her fist by her side from the other end of the black top and tried to stop herself from throwing the basketball in her hands towards the blonde girl's head. It wasn't a feeling Clarisse liked, and the feeling only went away when you were laying in her arms under the tree after school that day.
That warm afternoon, she'd asked you to marry her with a paper ring, one that you cherished for a whole week until it got caught in something and broke. You'd obviously said yes, the fact that you had a huge crush on her not exactly helping as you forced yourself to remember she was obviously kidding. Sealing the marriage with I do and then placing a chaste kiss on the back of your hand like she'd seen done in the romantic movies her mother likes watching, you were officially hers. As long as you were her wife, Holly Bracken could no longer kiss your cheek with that ugly smug smile.
She went on to make sure of that, introducing you as her wife to anyone and everyone that was willingly to listen. You two were young, and nobody took it quite seriously until she saved up almost a full year's allowance money to buy you a nice looking- but still cheap- promise ring from the jewelry store downtown. It was a silent promise, one that she eventually voiced as you were sleeping over at her house.
"I'll be with you forever." She'd whispered in your ear, and you foolishly believed her.
She was gone three weeks later.
You didn't get a phone call, an email, or even a letter. She just....disappeared.
Her family stopped answering the door for you, seemingly purposefully avoiding you in town. It was months before you finally gave up, and it was obvious to anyone that looked hard enough you were slowly becoming a shell of yourself without her. Without your girl.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
The only thing in your life that is weirder than Clarisse's mysterious disappearance, was the fact that a boy just told you you're a child of one of the Greek gods. You couldn't believe him. You'd learned about the gods in school, but there was no fudging way they were real. You'd only finally agreed to go to some place called Camp Half Blood when he rolled up one of his pant legs to reveal furry goat legs. Nothing will ever be weirder than that.
Just in time too, because right after you left the school building and started sprinting towards the forest across from the place, some giant winged creature that no one else seemed to see crashed through a window and started flying towards you.
Your protector, someone you learned is a satyr named Joey, lead you to camp with minimal death, which you learned is very rare when it comes to leading a demi-god to camp. It didn't help with the newly installed fear inside you, but you just simply nodded along with what he was saying as your eyes scanned the crowds of campers that are doing their own thing below the hill you stand on.
The moment you step past what Joey calls Thalia's tree, all eyes are on you. A new camper means special events so they feel welcome which means more fun for the campers and the drama of figuring out who their godly parent is.
You don’t have any belongings other than the clothes on your skin and the school pencil that’s brought you a strange sense of comfort on your long trip. A female camper with blonde hair and gray eyes comes up and introduces herself as Annabeth, helping you to the “Hermes” cabin to give you a camp t-shirt and new pants. She explains all the new campers go there, at least until they get claimed, which means the kids in there are either children of Hermes, unclaimed, or new just like you.
Since everyone is gone doing daily activities, you decide to just change in the cabin. It’s peaceful, the sound of campers laughter, birds in the trees.
Your blissful silence is broken when someone tightly wraps their arms around you from behind you and lifts you up in the air with a squeal, your hands flying to cover your bra-covered chest. “What the hell?!” You scream, but the profanities you were going to yell out die down in your throat when the person sets you down and you turn around to see Clarisse.
She doesn’t look much different, her hair a little bit grown out and her band t-shirts and jeans have been replaced by camouflage pants and an orange camp half blood shirt similar to the one you’re trying to put on. You’re so starstruck that you just stare, her arms still loosely wrapped around your waist as you stand there in only a bra and jeans. “Clar?” She nods, grinning brightly as she pulls you into yet another hug.
You’re much more aware this time, pushing her away harshly as you hurry to put on the shirt and then leave the cabin with a quick roll of your eyes. The curly haired girl is hot on your tail, attempting to grab your wrist to stop you before you pull it away as if she’s burned you. Her face is full of hurt, but your voice shows the same amount as you ask, “Why didn’t….why didn’t you call? Or email? Or-or send me a fucking letter? Just to let me know you were okay? That you came here.”
She sighs, eyes full of regret as they fall to look at her doc martens so she doesn’t have to see your sadness. “I couldn’t call you because a phone call is like sending a message out to any monsters that could be listening and find out where we are. Email, I don’t have any electronics cuz of the whole call thing.”
“And letter? I bet monsters don’t know how to read Clar.” The girl is silent for a minute, and as the silence continues is when you realize she doesn’t have an answer for you. You scoff, beginning to walk to who knows where again before she runs to catch up with you.
“I’m sorry, okay? I was scared. Gods, I was scared.” The worlds tumble out of her mouth before she can stop them, and the campers around you fall silent as they stare with mouths agape in shock.
“Scared? What’s there to be scared of? It’s just me.” She nods, wordlessly reaching out to hold your hand. You let her this time and she feels relief flood through her. “Scared. I was scared….scared that you would hate me for leaving. I mean, what kind of woman leaves her wife?” She attempts a small laugh, and she takes it as a win that the corners of your mouth twitch upwards in the start of a smile. “I promised you forever and then left without another word. You had been looking at me through rose colored glasses our entire lives, I was scared those glasses were shattered. It’s not an excuse though. I should’ve sent you a letter, told you I was okay and told you how much I missed you.”
A small smile works its way onto your face, but she can still see the sadness in your eyes and she hates it. She hates it when you're sad. “Come here angel.” The girl hesitantly pulls you into her arms, almost crying when you relax into her hold and hug her back before she remembers where you guys are and how many campers are staring in shock at how sweet she’s acting.
“You have to understand that I’m still mad Clar. Even if you were scared, I spent years living in fear you were dead.” You mumble against her shoulder as you grip onto her like she’s going to disappear again if you let go.
The girl nods in agreement, cradling your head to her chest as she glares at the campers in an attempt to get them to leave you two alone. They do it.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Clarisse brings you to her cabin, cuddling with you in her bed as she tells you anything and everything that has happened over the past. She’s a child of Ares, and you spend several minutes that it makes sense after the amount of times she threatened other kids by saying she should hang them from the top of the flagpole.
By dinner time, it’s like no time has passed, and everyone’s eyes are on you as you two walk in with her arm casually placed on your around the back of your waist as she leads you to her table where her siblings are trying not to make fun of her. After a lot of begging and threats, Chiron agreed to let you sit at the Ares table for your first week at camp. “Hey guys.” Her happy tone is a rare one around her by the look on their faces, the smile even rarer as she sits you down next to her spot on the bench. “This is my wife.”
The whole room goes silent, all eyes trained on you as your eyes dart up to stare at her. “What are you-” She cuts you off with amusement dancing in her brown eyes.
“What do you want to eat, honey?” Clarisse asks you, and a son of Ares you know as Mark scoffs before he says, “The last time I asked you to get me food, you poured your drink in my lap and told me it wasn’t your job.”
The smile falls from your friend's face as she glares at him. “That’s because it isn’t my job.”
“Then why are you getting her food?”
“Because a happy wife equals a happy life alright? Now shut the fuck up.”
The smile is back as she turns to face you again, taking your order before she leaves to get that and her own food.
The rest of the campers go back to their meals, though they’re clearly gossiping about Clarisse’s supposed wife as they eat. It doesn’t make you feel very happy, but all the doubt is gone as your girl comes back and sits down next to you, setting the food down before her hand falls to hold your hand under the table the way she used to during lunch at school.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
A little bit later, you finish eating and join in the group of campers leaving the dining hall towards the campfire with Clarisse walking beside you. “My legs hurt.” You mumble while leaning closer to her. She doesn’t miss a beat as she picks you up bridal style, casually carrying you to the bonfire like you weigh absolutely nothing. Smiling at the sound of your laughter, she sets you down on one of the logs surrounding the fire. “What was that for? I could’ve walked.” You say as she sits down next to you before pulling you into her lap.
“What kind of wife would I be if I let you walk around while in pain?” She grins before leaning her head on your shoulder. She seems happy, and you recently learned she hasn’t felt that way in a very long time so you simply smile before leaving a kiss on her forehead. Her fingers lace with yours, her thumb caressing the back of your hand as she talks to her brother. It’s like no time has passed. Although you’re still upset, it’s nice to have her again.
Clarisse makes you guys some smores, a few people coming up every once and a while to introduce themselves and your friend introduces you the same way every time; “This is my wife.” By the time you’re making your way to the Hermes cabin with her walking by your side like a bodyguard, everyone in camp is aware of the “marriage”.
“I wish you could come stay in the Ares cabin.” She mumbles into the crook of your neck on the porch of Hermes cabin, and you chuckle while rubbing circles on her back. “I think you annoyed Chiron enough for one day.”
The daughter of Ares sighs, reluctantly nodding as she gives you a gentle squeeze before walking away. You watch her walk to her cabin for a few seconds, a permanent smile on your face before you walk inside your crowded cabin.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
The next morning, it’s time for you to join in the routine of chores and training. It seems tiring, but Clarisse is by your side to help you with anything and everything so it’s okay.
“You’re getting better, hon.” She repeats for the 100th time in an hour, and your trust in her words is slowly fading as you sling the sword in your hands awkwardly towards the dummy covered in greek armor in front of you. The girl seems to notice your mood dropping, so she sighs and then stands up and walks towards you. You think she’s going to tell you to take the armor off just stop trying, but you shouldn't have. Clarisse was never one to tell you to give up on something. Instead, she places her hands on your hips, brown eyes straying from your face as she gently moves your body until you're standing in the correct way. You feel like clay under her grip, simply allowing her to position you as your face scans her features.
It’s like something pulling you to lean in, and it’s only when you're inches away from her face do you realize she is leaning in too. As if realizing where you are and what you guys are doing, she clears her throat and backs away, her hands following to rest at her sides. “There. Try again.” She begins to awkwardly walk away, her confidence gone as she almost trips over some armor left on the floor by another camper.
You nervously laugh, taking a deep breath before you slash the sword forward again. The sword feels much more natural in your hand, and it’s almost like an instinct as you angle it so it hits the unprotected parts so it cuts open the material.
Your friend cheers, rushing over to you and easily lifting you off the ground like you just won the olympics. Clarisse has always been that way, proud of every thing  you could ever do. With a small laugh, you thank her and finally get her to set you down. “Well done wifey.” The words flow out of Clarisse’s mouth like they’re the most natural thing, and you fake an annoyed sigh.
“You know I’m not your wife right?” You say with a laugh, but she clearly doesn’t find it very funny.
“Then what's this?” Her hand moves to grab your hand, holding it up in front of your face and you try to ignore the way butterflies explode in your stomach from the touch as her eyes lock on yours. With rose colored cheeks- you decide to blame it on the heat and not the feeling of her hand in yours- you finally take notice of what she’s talking about; the ring she bought you when you were kids, snuggly placed on your left hand ring finger. It was a bit too big when you guys were younger, but it fits basically perfectly now.
“It’s a promise ring.” You mumble, walking away to take off the armor and put away the sword. “It’s the closest thing to a wedding ring I could get. And besides, red is my favorite color, the jem is red. It’s basically me, in a ring.” “I didn’t understand a single thing you just said.”
Clarisse sighs, wrapping her arms around your waist from behind the same way she did your first day at camp- though this time she doesn’t lift you up. “Sorry. Let me summarize. You’re my wife, and that is your ring.” You chuckle, turning around in her arms and trying not to think about the way you’re so close you can feel her warm breath on your face. “Fine. I’m your wife.” She takes the win, leaving a chaste kiss on your cheek before she makes her way out of the training grounds to go wash up for lunch.
This girl is gonna be the death of you.
 -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
That night, Clarisse sneaks into the Hermes cabin. She’s used to sneaking out, but she’s never had a reason to sneak into this specific cabin and she almost bursts out laughing when she gets through the window and almost steps on a kid laying on a sleeping bag on the floor.
She easily manages her way through the sleeping kids to get to your bunk in the corner, cringing every once and a while when floor boards creek. You’re awake, staring at the wall and you reach under your pillow to grab a dagger Annabeth gave you when someone puts a hand on your shoulder and tries to shake you away so you can hold it up against their neck.
“Why the hell do you have a knife to my throat?” Clarisse quietly squeaks out, and you sigh in relief before putting the weapon back under your pillow for safe keeping. “I just…I’m sorry.” You think about telling her about the nightmare you were having not even ten minutes ago, but it looks like she’s already aware of it as she sends you knowing eyes.
“You can make it up to me by following me.” One look into her pleading eyes is all you need to reluctantly agree, and she helps you out of the window and then onto her back so she can carry you to the surprise she set up in the forest.
The sight makes you want to grin and cry at the same time; it’s a picnic set on the cliff overlooking the waterfall you told her was your favorite part of camp, all your favorite foods from the outside world placed accordingly on the blanket. There are little lanterns placed all over, lighting up this specific part of the woods. You can clearly see the stars, one of your favorite things, and the cozy feeling of the date-like setting goes against the summer breeze of the night.
“So? What do you think?” Clarisse nervously asks as you look around in awe. “I….I love it Clar.” You reply, pulling her into a tight hug. “How’d you get all these foods?” You quest with a grin. She innocently shrugs, but she’s got a mischievous look in her eyes that only appears when she does something bad. She won’t tell you that she snuck out of camp the same way she snuck out of her cabin to go to the mortal world, sneaking back in a throwing herself into a bush when Mr. D almost caught her.
She sits down on the blanket, patting the spot next to her and then pulling you into her lap when you sit down. “This is so nice….but why?” “Why?” “Why’d you do it?”
Clarisse chuckles; “Because my wife deserves best.” There it is again, the phrase that brings a blush to your face no matter how many times you hear it. “Well, thank you.” She nods, grabbing a chocolate covered strawberry and taking a hesitant bite before humming in satisfaction. “That’s really good.”
You two spend the rest of the night talking and giggling as you cuddle up to her and eat the delicious foods, and by the end of the night you’re lying with your head in her lap as she runs her fingers through your hair. “One day,” She starts, leaning down to kiss your forehead before she continues speaking; “I’m gonna marry you for real.”
With a small laugh, you nod, staring into her brown eyes as you sigh. “I’m okay with that.” You whisper, and for a second it seems like she’s leaning down again. It’s proven she is when her lips connect with yours. Her lips are slightly chapped since she always forgets to put on chapstick before she leaves the cabin, but that doesn’t matter as she’s kissing you like she’s been starved for years. Technically, she has been.
She pulls away, watching with a nervous smile as you attempt to catch your breath and stare up at her in awe. “Was that-was that okay?” You slowly nod, sitting up and then turning to face her before you grab her face in your hands and kiss her once again. She seems surprised, but she quickly adapts as her hands move to your hips and firmly grip them.
“I’ve been wanting to do that since the day you agreed to be my wife.” She whispers as she pulls away and leans her forehead on your own. You giggle, giving her a quick kiss in between love sick giggles. “Me too.”
She begins to talk again, but the sound of hooves galloping near and a loud voice calling out, “Who's there?!” makes her panic. Chiron. You panic as well, and you both messily pick up the empty plates and blanket, shoving it all in the basket and taking your hand in the one that isn't holding the basket.
The galloping is getting closer, and you both begin to run back into the forest- on the way back to camp but still in the opposite direction of Chiron.
You both begin to laugh as you almost trip over a branch, and you have to bite your lip and hold a hand over Clarrise's mouth so Chiron won't hear.
You eventually make it back to the cabins, and you both slow down to a light jog as you near the Hermes cabin. She brings you back to the still open window, and helps lift you up into the slightly cold room. You take off your shoes, and are about to wish her a goodnight and go to bed when you turn around to see her lips playfully puckered.
You chuckle, walking back to the window and giving her a small peck on the lips. “Goodnight Clar. and thank you for a wonderful night.” She smiles. “It was only wonderful because you were there. Goodnight angel.” With that, she leaves towards her own cabin, and you're left staring at her leave with a love sick smile and look in your eyes.
At the edge of the forest, Chiron watches the sweet goodnight with a small smile. “Well I'll be damned….Clarisse La Rue is a softy.” He begins walking to his own cabin with a content sigh. “But they better not sneak out again.”

AHHH THIS JUST INVADED MY MIND AND I HAD TO WRITE SOMETHING ABOUT IT
ok so imagine rin itoshi; fast learner, really good grades, top of his class, just a perfect student overall
and then there’s you; slow learner, average grades, late to class, forgets to do homework, and barely passing your classes
so what happens when rin itoshi somehow develops a crush on you?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
academic! rin who whispers the answers to you in class
it was another normal day in class. you found yourself with your head laying on the desk farthest from the front, slowly dozing off and cancelling whatever it was your teacher was talking about
“miss l/n… miss l/n!” you heard your teacher yell at you from the front of the class. you lift your head up in slight panic, noticing your teachers furrowed brows and angry pout. “what’s the answer to question number 7?” she inquired, raising her brows and crossing her arms. waiting for you to get it wrong so she can, once again, scold you for dozing off in her class
your eyes roamed the board as they found question number 7. you didn’t want your teacher to scold you again, but was there really another outcome? you didn’t know the answer and you were put on the spot with little to no time to think
“uhh” you spoke, swallowing and taking a shaky breath as your eyes roamed the classroom. “it’s D” rin whispered from next to you. you give him a quick side glance. his teal eyes were focused on his notebook but he was the smartest in the class so you had no choice but to trust him
“it- its D!” you call out. your teachers eyes widen in disbelief as she looks back to the board once more. “c-correct..?” she muttered, still in shock over you getting it correct. she continued to give her class. “thank you” you whisper to rin, his eyes shooting you a quick glance. “don’t worry about it” he muttered, a slight heat rushing to his cheeks
academic! rin who allows only you to copy his homework when you, yet again, forgot to do it
“fuckk” you groan, banging your forehead on the table. “what’s up with you?” rin questioned from his seat. you both sat in the library because you had a free period. “i forgot to do the math homework” you spoke, worry and frustration visible in your tone and face “and i won’t be able to do it in time”
rin said nothing. he simply rummaged through his backpack, looking for his math notebook and upon finding it, pulling it out. he roamed the pages, landing on a specific one and sliding it your way. your brows furrow in confusion, looking up at him for answers. he’s looking away, almost as if he was embarrassed of something. “you can copy off mine” he says, his tone soft in contrast of his normal stoic tone.
“really?!” you gasp im excitement. he nodded his head, finally landing his gaze on your smiling face. “i could literally kiss you right now” you joked, pulling your notebook out and beginning to copy his homework. he rested his cheek in his palm, looking at you with the most loving eyes. “i wish you would” he muttered into his palm.
your ears perked up, not quite catching what he said. “what was that?” “i said i wish you wouldn’t” he lied through his teeth. you rolled your eyes playfully, dismissing his mean persona with a breathy laugh
academic! rin who volunteers to be your tutor as an excuse to spend more time with you
“you seriously still stuck on that question?” rin asked, his face scrunched up in disbelief. you glare at him, letting out a huff before speaking “not everyone has a big brain like you”. he rolled his eyes, secretly liking your compliment disguised in an insult
“i seriously don’t know what i’m gonna do for the test on friday” you sigh “i can’t seem to remember anything”. a light bulb lit up in rins mind. “i can tutor you if you want” he suggested
“you’d do that?” you questioned while he just shrugged, nodding his head a little. “wont i just stress you out?” you question again, not quite sure why he’s doing this
he let out a chuckle, scoffing a bit before speaking “you’d stress me out even more with all your babbling id you fail”. you open your mouth in shock but quickly close it again, knowing that was he spoke was nothing but the truth
“fine. i guess you can tutor me” you rolled your eyes playfully. rin fought every fiber in his body to not smile. spoiler alert: he failed

author’s note: let’s just say i chose violence 🫣 who the hell let me write this?
Tumblr media
Lee Heeseung | 이희승
➶ an elder lady who reminiscents her past lover
Love never felt so blissful and serene as with him, making it hard to forget his small but meaningful gestures, like fresh morning coffee, his contagious laughter, and jokes that never failed to make her laugh. There was no day she didn’t miss him, death taking his beautiful soul too early, along with hers too. She felt like her life ended the day she lost him forever. Wanting to have at least a little substitute for feelings that accompanied their love she wrote Heeseung, who just like her late lover, is impossible not to love. Heeseung who is a pure example of chivalry and a true gentleman, who treats everybody with empathy and sympathy.
Park Jongseong | 박종성
➶ a man who regrets not letting his son pursue his passion
Watching how his son gets drowned in the huge corporate world that surrounds him. How there’s no sign of the spark in his eye that used to light up whenever he picked up his guitar. The boy who found such relief in playing his favorite songs and felt proud of mastering different riffs was long gone, now somewhat replaced by constantly tired and dispassionate about anything and everything. Regret filled his heart and decided to somehow find a remedy in creating Jay, who thanks to his burning love for music and the wonderful people surrounding him, achieved his dream, and performed his songs on big stages, igniting passion in his fans’ hearts.
Sim Jaeyun | 심재윤
➶ a boy who always felt lonely
Ever since primary school, he never had a friend to rely on, always feeling lonely and not heard. Nobody ever paid attention to him, neither at school nor at home. His parents invested their time mostly in his younger brother’s education and hobbies, driving him to his after-school football practices and maths tutoring and leaving the older one alone most of the time. To feel at least a tiny bit wanted and liked he wrote about Jake, as his older brother he never had, but always dreamt of. Days spent alone at home started to get more bearable and gradually he couldn’t wait to be left with him and his new best friend, with whom he played football and who helped him with his homework.
Park Sunghoon | 박성훈
➶ girl who lost her confidence in sport
Injury is the worst fear of any athlete including her, but once it happens it turns out to be much more. She never even imagined a day she would have to experience the pain of a twisted ankle, but now daily rehabilitation has become her reality. Even after complete recovery, her foot felt like it belonged to somebody else, not listening to her like before. Things that she had been doing easily now were her biggest enemy. All eyes of her teammates were filled with pity, and even her coach stopped spending her time helping her, increasing her misery. What helped her ease her mind was a boy she imagined named Sunghoon, who was the only male ice skater among all the girls, they isolated him by whispering to each other and watching his every fall. None of this stopped him from mastering every jump and technique he found hard in his tempo. If he was able to do that, she would too, even after a painful injury.
Kim Sunoo | 김선우
➶ girl who always wished to have a boy best friend
She always knew boy-girl friendships weren’t particularly the easiest - it’s easy to catch feelings and not every boy is trustworthy enough to be considered a friend. That’s why she desired it so much. Her every male friend ended up being a freak who had a bunch of weird opinions, turned out to be even misogynistic, or simply caught feelings for her when all she wanted was to have a companion. The more she tried the harsher the disappointment. To compensate, she started to imagine one, who she named Sunoo. Hanging out with him was just as she wanted, maybe that’s why she spent so much time in her head. Both of them had their weekly tradition of doing face masks and watching old romantic comedies, judging wrong doings of the characters but also simping to them, just like it happens in movies.
Yang Jungwon |  양정원
➶ a grandma who lost her grandson
Nothing could ever prepare her to lose him, who just like cherry blossoms sweetened her old days with his pure smile and eyes full of curiosity, after years of endless winter. But, the thing about cherry blossoms is, it doesn’t last long. Her grandson, contrary to pink petals, wouldn't be back in a year, he would be gone forever. That pure smile and curious eyes disappeared, or should I say, were ripped off her arms so brutally, so pitilessly. Her life came back to the excruciating dullness and silence. She couldn’t stop thinking about how her lovely boy would grow up, what hobbies he would pick up, and who he was going to love, since he didn’t have a chance to experience any of that, subconsciously creating Jungwon, who lived surrounded by love and gave it to others. Who never lost his pure smile and curious eyes, just like her grandson.
Nishimura Riki | 西村力
➶ girl who always danced alone in her room
She always knew her destiny was on the dance floor. Even her tiny bedroom she had to share with her two younger siblings. Or the daily nagging and lack of support from her parents. Even the fact that she had to do that all by herself. None of that stopped her from doing everything to achieve her dream of standing on stage, in blinding spotlights with crowds watching her moves. Her main inspiration was Riki, a boy she imagined had the same dream as her. In contrast to her, Riki had everything she ever wanted and needed to make things easier - a family full of great dancers, who also owned a dance studio and great teachers and mentors from whom he learned not only different techniques but also to love dancing.

Could you write about Satoru with a really shy reader who can't stop accidentally sneaking glances at him, and like, he totally knows that she's smitten with him and he thinks it's adorable cause he really likes her as well.
I live for shy reader x Satoru Gojo! Enjoyyyy
Tumblr media
Why him?
Looking out of the window, you were lost in your thoughts thinking about what happened earlier in the morning when you arrived at school. You entered the gates and as you were making your way towards your class. One of your classmates; Satoru Gojo was walking on the opposite direction, he saw you and smiled at you Usually you'd greet him with a small bow and walk away however today, you felt something different when he smiled at you. It felt weird and new?
The bell rang when slowly everyone rushed back to their seats. You turned your head to see him and Suguru Geto; both of them walked in while laughing and talking. You couldn't stop looking at Satoru Gojo even though your mind was screaming at you to stop looking and he caught you just when you looked away, a sly smile painting on his lips as he took the chair that was next to you on the other row.
To be honest, you weren't listening to the teacher because your heart was begging you to glance at Satoru while your mind was telling you to get it together and act normal. You kept thinking about why you are so eager to glance at Satoru when you remembered what happened yesterday; you gasped a bit too loud for your own sake causing the teacher to look at you and so did your classmates, "is everything okay?" Your teacher asked, and you nodded, hiding behind your textbook. You remembered finally.
Yesterday, when you were heading back home late from school since you had to stay behind to help your classmate with her math homework. It was around seven when you finally left the school walking down the road; it was chillier than it was in the morning and you forgot to bring a scarf, with your hands in your pockets you walked looking down and shaking in cold. All of a sudden, someone approached you, "Oh, Gojo-san," you greeted him, and he smiled. "You're heading home? Is this late?" He asked, walking beside you. You nodded, "I had to help Rina-chan with her math homework, and I lost track of time." He nodded at your words as you both walked in silence. It wasn't like you two were best friends heck, you two weren't even friends, just classmates. However, that didn't mean you didn't talk every once a while. Satoru noticed how you tried to hide your chin in your uniform blazer and that you were shaking a bit. He took his scarf off and held your arm, making you stop. You turned to look at him, "You are shaking. You'll catch cold." He said before wrapping his blue scarf around your neck. Without another word, he left waving in your direction with a smile while you stood their confused. The scarf was too soft to deny.
You raised your head from the table and looked at Satoru's direction. He wasn't looking, but suddenly everything about him made your heart beat faster. Did you like him? Do you think it's love? No, it couldn't be. You immediately looked away when he looked in your direction.
This went on for weeks where you'd be excited to see him in the class and would simply look for him whenever you'd walk in the hallway. Quietly praying that he'd appear in front of you, sometimes he did, and you'd always shy away running past him.
You sat by the gate alone writing in your diary. You couldn't stop thinking about Satoru's beautiful lips. And his beautiful eyes, the way he smiled and the way he'd ruffle his hair pushing it back and front whenever he'd be talking and focused. "I wonder how his lips feel?" You kept writing about him till the end of the page. You were snapped out of your thoughts when someone snatched your diary from your arms. Immediately, you turned around to be face to face with Satoru as he held your diary with one hand. "Give it back, please." You said trying to reach for it, and Satoru held it up laughing, "You have a diary, ah, thought people stopped having one since forever, aren't you secretive." He tried to read it, but you tried once more, feeling terrified that he would read it. And he did, you kept trying to reach for it but from how tall he was you had no chance to reach him. He kept reading with a smile until he reached the part about his lips, and his smile dropped into a poker face. Tears already formed in your eyes from embarrassment as you pushed past him running away, crying that he would probably laugh at you and make you look like an idiot. "Y/n-" He called for you, but you already were gone. He shut the diary and went to find you, he couldn't find you anywhere and thought it would be better to wait for you to attend the class however for the rest of the day you didn't attend any of the classes. He stated to get worried, and before the last class ended, Satoru grabbed his bag and headed outside to find you. He's been at your house a few times for school works and he knew where you lived luckily for him. With a sigh, he made his way towards your house and rsng the bell waiting before your mother opened the door, "Uh, hello Ma'am. Is y/n home? She forgot something at school." Your mother nodded with a worried look, "Yeah sure. Has anything happened with Y/n? She's been crying in her room and won't talk to me. I'm worried. Can you ask her?" Your mother asked, and Satoru nodded, feeling a bit guilty about making you cry. He waited for you outside while your mother went to call you. A few minutes later you showed up with puffy eyes and red nose, you thought it's shoko who came to find you but your eyes widened when you saw it's Satoru and just when you were about to enter the house he grabbed your wrist, "hey, look I'm sorry." He said, and you stopped turning to look at him ready to cry again, but you bowed to him, "I'm sorry for writing that about you. It's disrespectful of me to -" He helped you stand straight and pulled you with him away from your front door, "Don't apologise, come here." He stopped and took your diary out from his backpack. You took it immediately, hiding it behind you as you two stood there in silence. "I'm sorry, you probably think I'm weird for writing that about you." You said and was about to apologise again before he spoke, "Uh,"I never said I didn't want to kiss you." You looked at him shocked, "Huh?"
He smiled, kneeling to your eyes level he spoke again, "What if I kissed you right now? Do you wanna know how my lips feel?" You covered your face with your diary, eye wide in shock. He laughed and ruffled your hair, "Don't worry, I won't steal your first kiss." He winked and turned around to walk away, "did you tell anyone?" You asked, and he turned around.
"No, I didn't."
"Why?" You asked
He chuckled, "Because it's private, and you're kinda cute with your words." You stood there looking at him, and he smiled, opening his arms, "wanna come here?" You shrugged, looking at your feet, then back at him. He still had his arms open for a hug. Slowly, before looking around, you made your way towards him and stopped a few feet away from him, "I can teach you how to kis-"
"STOP saying that!" You waved your hands at him and placed them at his mouth. Your eyes widened when you realised where your hands were. Before you could remove them, he gently grabbed your wrists and held your small hands in his bigger ones. He smiled before leaving a kiss on your hands. As you expected, his lips were soft. Before letting go of your hands and placing another kiss on your cheek, catching you off guard. He chuckled at your reaction when you gasped, holding your cheek and blushing. Without giving him a word, you ran back inside the house as he laughed, shaking his head. You ran to your room and fell on the bed giggling and kicking your feet, Satoru Gojo just kissed you on the cheek. Immediately, you opened your room window that had the outside view perfectly, and you saw him walking away, as if he felt it. He stopped and looked behind, a smile planted on his lips when he saw you looking out of the window. He chuckled, and you saw him taking his phone out, and your phone rang. It was him, you picked it up still looking at him, you heard him chuckle and send a kiss through the call, "Mwahh." You sat down and heard him laugh on the other side of the line, "Mwahh, pretty girl." You shut the phone smiling to yourself and took one last glance outside, and Satoru laughed before blowing a kiss and waving to which you waved at him before watching him walk away.

🌊 ASSUMPTIONS
SYNOPSIS. jj maybank gets a little too involved with a kook for his friends’ liking, but he wouldn’t be jj maybank if he gave a shit. on contrary, you do and it bothers him.
NOTES. jj maybank x kook!reader. a little short + not proofread
Tumblr media
you definitely underestimated how much things people assume on a daily basis. it had never bothered you before you got with a certain blond pogue — maybe, because beside your small friendship with sarah cameron (and an occasional hook up with her older brother), no one really cared. then you started hanging out with jj maybank and nothing was truly the same.
some people shamelessly assumed that your sweet relationship was strictly of convenience. maybank was with you for the money, giving you weed and fulfill your sexual needs whenever you wanted. some would say that you knew how rafe… wasn’t exactly a fan of pogues, so you hung out with jj to get back at the oldest cameron sibling.
on the other hand, hardly anyone reckoned that due to all that time you were caught spending together made you genuinely like him. no, you always had to have some kind of cruel reasoning for skipping school to smoke weed in the back of twinkie (and make out).
did it bother you? unfortunately, a little bit too much. your boyfriend just got into your room by the halfway open balcony door while you were scribbling down math homework on your ipad. your coursework was one of the small amount of activities that let you rest your brain and get busy with something so insignificant to your relationship.
jj knew you were subconsciously upset. he didn’t really have to ask — the uneasiness painted all over your gorgeous face. his long, distressed sigh got you out of trance. your eyebrows scrunched at the sight in front of you. how did he get there?
“tell me what’s in that pretty head of yours.” he muttered, face inches away from yours after having kissed you — too shortly for your liking.
“my brain.” you let out, hands going to the collar of his t-shirt, unsuccessfully trying to pull him into another of those sweet, mindblowing kisses. “jay.” a groan slipped from your lips as he refused once again and you felt like going insane, one night he says he can’t stop himself from kissing you and now he does? liar.
“let me rephrase the question, you brat.” his eyes rolled. “what’s bothering you so much that you can’t tell me?” his fingers brushed through your hair as you sat yourself in his lap.
“kiss me and i’ll tell you.”
“tell me and i’ll kiss you.” another groan left your mouth, earning a quiet chuckle from him. he was worried, but sending you over the edge was funny, hilarious even.
ten minutes. that’s how long the two of you sat in silence until you were ready to reveal the reason of your upset, thoughts organised and your forehead against his shoulder, while his fingers were tracing different patterns on your back, sending a shiver down your spine once in a while.
“i just— shit, it’s so stupid.” you mumbled, your voice muffled against his shoulder. “i hate that people think you want something particular from me or the other way around.” it’s there and jj couldn’t help but chuckle at your explanation.
not because he thought little of your worried, but because it was almost unlike you to be so bothered by people so insignificant in your life. “doll.” the blond cracked a smile, gently nibbling at your earlobe. “me and you, ride or die, eh?” jj’s smile only got wider, when you nodded. “let them assume whatever they want, why stop ‘em? you know your feelings and i know mine. this is the thing that matters. not gonna lie, though, if you were with me just for my weed or my dick, that would probably give me a god–complex. imagine that the hottest girl in the entire outer banks is with you, because you fuck her so well? jesus, i might get a hard–on right now.”
“you really can’t simply tell me that you love me, can you?” you asked with a smile lingering on your lips long before he finally pressed his mouth against yours.
“you know i do, doll. where’s the fun in that?”

Summary: You and Aemond have been best friends from the moment you met. Growing up, there were many ups and downs but one thing was always constant: Aemond was always there.
Warnings: loss of a body part, gore, blood, profanity.
Masterlist
Chapter 1 || Chapter 2 || Chapter 3
Tumblr media
One thing that has always drawn you to Aemond, even when you two were in elementary school, was his brain. In the afternoons you would work on homework together and on the weekends you would play. School was very important to both of you, even at such a young age.
“That's not the answer!” You cried when you double checked your work. “Math is hard.”
Aemond laughed at you. “Math isn't hard, you just need to think.”
“Says you. You're like a genius!”
You stared at your paper. “Do I have to do this?”
“It's homework!”
“Ugh, fine.”
For a few minutes you worked in silence. It was so until Aegon, Aemond’s older brother by two years, came bounding down the stairs with their sister, Helaena, in tow.
“Give me back my butterfly!” She yelled at her older brother.
Aegon turned around and danced the stuffed butterfly in her face. “Whatcha’ gonna do about it?”
Helaena was near tears. “Please, Aegon!”
Huffing in frustration you turned to the one holding the butterfly hostage. “Give Helaena back her butterfly.”
“You're interrupting our homework time,” Aemond added.
“And Helaena needs her butterfly back, too,” you reminded him.
“Quit being a bully and give it back.”
“Ugh, you're a bore,” Aegon drawled. He threw the butterfly at Helaena. “Here you go,” he mumbled.
Helaena held her butterfly tight to her chest. “Can I stay with you?” She asked you and Aemond.
You smiled brightly. “Yeah! We're working on homework right now so you can bring yours.”
Helaena bounded up the stairs to get her homework and was quick to come back.
“Let's take a look at your homework,” said Aemond. He looked it over and hummed. “I don't think I can help you because I don't know how to do that math yet but you can still work with us.”
“Yay!” Helaena plopped down on a chair and held her butterfly in her lap as she worked on her homework.
You snuck a glance at Aemond. He worked hard on his school work. Always wanting to be the best, always wanting to be the smartest. Even as a child he had that drive. Back then you didn't know it, but you had fallen for Aemond Targaryen.
Tumblr media
Two years later, you, Aemond, Helaena, and surprisingly Aegon, were as close as could be. You spent every weekend with them. Even if one of them was sick, it wasn't enough to keep you away.
“Sweetie, you're running a high fever,” Alicent, the siblings’ mother, told you. “You should go home.”
“But I want to be with my friends. And I don't want to see my mother,” you mumbled the last part.
Alicent nodded her head. She knew full well what you meant. Having her own history with your mother, Rhaeneyra, she didn't blame you for wanting to stay away. Rhaenyra and her husband Daemon, your step father, didn't care much for you. They cared for your brothers, Jace and Luke, but couldn't be bothered to look your way. Even then, Jace and Luke didn't get the full affection a child should have from their mother. They simply got more than you.
“My mother has a video conference today and I don't want to be there.” You crossed your arms to hug yourself.
Alicent sighed and ran a hand over your hair. “What about Jace and Luke, sweetie?”
“They're out with the dogs and Daemon. Something about training them to be the best.”
“And you didn't want to go with them?”
“No,” you pouted. “I'd rather be here with my friends.”
Footsteps came running down the stairs.
“Is she coming out to play?” Aegon asked his mother.
“I don't think so, she has a fever,” Alicent told him.
Helaena appeared behind Aegon. “Is she going back home?”
You shook your head before Alicent could answer for her.
“She is going to stay here but she's not going to play, okay?” She told her children.
They sighed. “Yes, mother.” And off they went back upstairs.
Alicent took a blanket from the couch next to you and draped it over you. “You know you are more than welcome to stay here at any time, sweetie. Just take it easy and rest.”
Closing your eyes, you settled into the loveseat and soon drifted away to sleep.
You awoke to a soft voice. “Hey? You awake?”
Mumbling something incoherent, you buried yourself deeper in the blankets. You were hot and cold at the same time and you hated it.
“I have soup.”
You pulled your head out of the blanket and slowly opened your eyes. Aemond was kneeling next to the loveseat with a bowl of broth.
“Soup is good to have when you're sick. I always have some when I'm sick so I thought you'd want some, too.”
Your stomach rumbled at the mention of food. As you pulled the blanket further down to your lap, you gratefully accepted the soup Aemond offered.
He was silent as you slowly slurped it down.
You looked at Aemond and found him smiling at you.
“What is it?” You asked when you finished your soup.
A bit of color dusted his cheeks. “Nothing.”
You handed him your empty bowl. “Thank you, Aemond. I feel better already.”
Throwing off the blanket, you were ready to hop into action but Aemond stopped you.
“You're still sick!”
“But I feel better,” you countered.
“You only feel better because you had soup. You still need to rest.”
You plopped back down on the loveseat and grabbed the blanket. “Fine.”
A comfortable silence fell between you two. You cuddled into a pillow next to you and played with the blanket.
Aemond broke the silence. “Can I stay with you?”
You yawned. “Yeah.”
A few minutes passed.
“You can be on the chair if you want,” you told him.
Instead of answering, Aemond climbed onto the loveseat next to you and seated himself between you and the armrest. He sat with his back to you but enjoyed the company nonetheless. With your backs pressed together you were calm and happy. Happier than you've been in months.
Alicent was startled to see you and Aemond both asleep on the loveseat but wasn't surprised. She knew her son harbored feelings for you, even if they were buried. She hoped one day she would see the two of you happy. Childhood was not easy for either of you even though she did her best to make it easy. Carefully, she walked to the two of you and gently woke you up.
“Sweetie? I'm sorry, it's time to go home. I'll drop you off,” Alicent whispered to you.
“Can Aemond come?”
“Of course he can.” She gave you a small smile.
You roused him from his sleep. “I need to go home, Aemond.”
“No,” he mumbled.
Alicent sighed before reasoning with him. “Aemond, it's late and I'm sure her mother is looking for her. You can come with me to drop her off.”
He mumbled something you couldn't hear but got up nevertheless. As he did, he made sure not to hit you and helped you out of the loveseat as well.
As you stretched, a large groan came out of your mouth. There was still sleep in your eyes and you really didn’t want to go back home. You looked at Aemond and caught his eye. He offered a small smile that you gladly returned. Even though you were sick, Aemond made you feel better just by being there. When you were both asleep it took everything in your power not to cuddle up to him. His warmth was pulling at you but you didn’t want to get him sick, too.
Alicent nudged you and Aemond to the car but you were both slow. You still weren't feeling the best and Aemond just seemed groggy.
The car ride to your house was silent. Both Alicent and Aemond knew you didn't enjoy going home; it was like a prison to you.
But they couldn't keep you forever.
One day you’d break out of that prison.
Tumblr media
By the time you were thirteen you had grown closer to Aemond, Helaena, and Aegon. It wasn’t unusual for you to spend weekends at their house or for you to go there after school. Their home was a second home for you and Alicent was basically your surrogate mother.
One day, your mother wanted to visit Alicent. She was insistent that this had to be done today.  Alicent, being too kind to decline anything, allowed her, you, and your brothers to spend the day with them. When you saw Aemond, you immediately went to him and left your brothers behind. You heard them huff about how lame of a sister you were but you pretended like you didn’t hear them at all.
“We’re just about to have breakfast, if you’d like to join us,” offered Alicent after a few minutes of awkward silence.
“That would be lovely,” your mother said as she gave her a sickly sweet smile.
There was something off about her but you couldn’t quite put a finger on it.
All of you, children included, sat around the table in a tense silence. The only sounds were the occasional slurp, chew, or the ring of utensils hitting a plate or bowl.
“Alicent,” your mother started. “I came here to talk to you. I think we need to put our past behind us.”
You tilted your head in confusion.
Alicent leaned forward and whispered, “This isn’t the time and place to be talking about it.”
“There is no time and place so I decided to make one. Let’s bury the hatchet; be friends again. You know I never meant to hurt you.”
“You never meant to hurt me?” Alicent laughed coldly. “And what hatchet? You mean the one where you left -” She suddenly stopped. Closing her eyes, she bowed her head and cleared her throat. “How about you children go play in the backyard. Go jump on the trampoline or play knights and princesses.”
“Yes, mother,” Aemond replied. He quickly grabbed your hand and dragged you outside.
The other children left at various speeds. Helaena and Aegon neadered out towards the back while Jace and Luke wanted to stay with your mother. The two boys were concerned about her. They always were and always would be. Eventually, your mother was able to shoo your brothers away. It was only then that they made it outside with the rest of you.
It was tense at first. You all just stood there and stared at each other. You wish you could say you were close with your brothers to help ease the moment but that would be a lie. You were as distant from them as much as a sister could be. Sure, you lived with them, but they never really included you in anything. Whenever they did anything with your step father, he would only bring the boys and not you.
“So…” you let the word die. “What do you want to do? I like jumping on the trampoline when I’m here.”
“Of course you have a favorite thing to do here. You’re not at home a lot,” Jace said.
You balled up your fists at your side. “At least here I have people I can talk to.”
“Luke and I aren’t enough?”
“You never let me play with you! I’m always by myself, so yes, I come here a lot.”
“We would let you play with us if you weren’t so weird!”
“I’m not weird, I’m your sister. If I’m weird then you’re weird, too.”
Jace looked like he was about to bust, his face all red.
Aegon stepped between you two before anyone could say anything bad. “Let’s deal with this the best way. Stick fight.”
“Stick fight?” Luke piped up.
“Yeah.” Aegon grinned. “A stick fight. Find a stick on the ground to use as your sword and we’ll fight for the hand of this girl.”
“Ew, for my hand?” You made a disgusted face.
“For your honor, whatever,” Aegon corrected himself. “Now, who shall fight whom?”
You grabbed Helaena’s hand. “Helaena and I are staying out of this one.”
“Boo, okay,” Aegon frowned. “That leaves me and Aemond versus Jace and Luke!”
Luke stepped forward, his chest puffed out in an attempt to look intimidating. “I’ll take on Aegon.”
Aegon nearly burst out laughing. “Okay, little guy,  I’ll fight you. That means Aemond fights Jace.”
Jace’s stare burned into Aemond’s. You knew this was dangerous, letting the boys fight, but apparently it was the only way either pair could find peace when it came to you. Aemond and Aegon wanted to fight for your honor and Jace and Luke wanted to show you that your friends were weak.
“You get five minutes to find your stick sword!” Helaena announced. “Ready…and…go!”
The boys sprinted off in different directions hoping to find the biggest, baddest stick sword in the backyard. That in itself was massive so finding a stick would be no big deal for them. Finding a good one is a different story, however.
Looping your arm around Helaena’s, you strolled around watching the boys dart back and forth. It was entertaining to watch them run around like this. You found yourself specifically following Aemond. Blushing at the mere thought of him, you turned away.
“What has you all red?” Helaena asked.
“Oh, it’s nothing.” You tried to wave it off.
Helaena looked to where your focus once was. “Ah.”
“Stop it, Helaena, he might see!” You tried to get her to look back at you.
A small smile played across her lips. “You have a crush on Aemond.”
You buried your face in your hands. “Oh, my goodness.”
Helaena squealed, “Oh, I knew it! You two are always so close and always together and -”
You grabbed Helaena by the shoulders. “You can’t tell him, okay? Pinky swear?”
Her shoulders dropped when she saw the seriousness on your face. “Fine. I pinky swear.”
Holding one pinky up in the air, Healena intertwined hers and made the promise. “Do you promise to not tell Aemond Targaryen that I have a crush on him?” you began.
“I swear that I will not tell my brother you have a crush on him,” Helaena promised.
Once you let go you breathed a sigh of relief but still kept an eye on Helaena. She wasn't malicious or anything, but the happiness of her younger brother has always been a priority for her. The possibility of you being someone he could be happy with had her vibrating with excitement.
Together, the two of you continued to watch the boys dart about to find their sticks. You couldn't help but follow Aemond. His hair was getting closer to his shoulders and it bounced behind him as he ran around. At one point, Aemond and Aegon met up in the middle to talk about which stick would be better but Jace and Luke yelled at them for planning, so they dispersed. When you saw Jace and Luke do the same thing, you were tempted to call them out but held back. Leaning against Helaena, you let out a pleasant sigh as the boys wrapped up their five minutes.
Jace and Luke stood facing Aegon and Aemond. Both sides looked at the other with such hatred they were practically smoking. It was no secret that Aegon and Aemond didn’t like Jace and Luke. Aegon and Aemond didn’t like how your brothers, how your whole family, treated you. You were constantly discarded in favor of the two sons and it wore you out. You did your best to hide it but the Targaryen siblings knew better. Jace and Luke didn’t like how close you were with the Targaryens siblings. Sure, they were related in some weird way but being related doesn’t mean that the relationship was automatically good or healthy. You were a prime example of that.
Aegon took a step towards the other two boys. “Ready to lose, losers?”
“As if!” piped up Luke. “I’m gonna beat you so bad!”
Aegon rolled his eyes. “Sure, little guy.” He looked back at his brother then at the other two. “Are we ready to start?”
Jace crouched down in a fighting position. “We were born ready. Both fights at the same time?”
“Yeah.” Aegon nodded his head. “You and Aemond will fight over there,” he pointed towards the trampoline. “And me and Luke will fight by that big tree.” He turned towards you and Helaena. “Will you two referee the fights?”
“And how do we do that?” you asked him.
“All you have to do is stand there and make sure no one goes for the face or,” he gestured to his crotch. “And whoever is on the ground for three seconds loses.”
You looked at Helaena. “I think we can do that.”
She nodded her head. “I’ll watch over Aemond and Jace.” She brought her voice down to a whisper, “Aemond would distract you too much.”
You bumped her with your shoulder. “Oh, whatever.” But the blush was already forming on your cheeks.
“Okay,” Aegon clapped his hands. “Let’s these stick fights going.”
You followed Aegon and Luke to the big oak tree. Both boys were buzzing with excitement, both ready to hit each other. There was a lot of pent up aggression apparently. When you got to the tree each boy stood facing each other about. They held their sticks up like swords and crossed them in the middle. There was a distinct height difference but you knew Luke wouldn’t let that get in the way.
“On the count of three start fighting,” you instructed them.
Both Aegon and Luke gave you an affirmative nod.
“One…Two…Three…FIGHT!”
Aegon and Luke reeled back their sticks only to meet each other in the center once again. They pushed in on each other, forcing the other to back off and lose their balance, but they each held their own.
“Remember, the one who ends up on the ground for three seconds loses!” you reminded them.
Aegon took one hand off his stick to push Luke backwards. They weren’t locked in a standing battle anymore. Aegon smiled a wicked smile as he took a few steps back to gauge what he would do next. Luke breathed hard, taking the push back a little harder than you anticipated. He was frowning but determination was written all over his face.
“Aw, was that push a little too hard?” Aegon taunted him. He played with his stick, swinging it around.
“I’m. Going. To. Kill. You.” Luke breathed out.
Laughing, Aegon ran at Luke with his stick brandished and ready to hit. He swung hard and hit Luke in the arm. He pulled back and hit him again on the opposite arm.
Luke flinched whenever he was hit but he still refused to back down. Aegon’s constant attacking caused him to take many steps back, he was almost flush against the oak tree. But when Aegon took a big swing, Luke ducked low and went for Aegon’s legs. He swept him off his feet and then got on top of him to keep him from getting up.
“How’s that for being little?” Luke bragged.
Aegon roared and flipped them over so Luke was the one pressed on the ground.
Luke screamed. “Ahhhh!”
Their sticks forgotten, Luke and Aegon wrestled on the ground. They kept flipping each other over so neither was down for three seconds. After tussling on the ground for a minute or so, Aegon was able to stand up. Luke followed right behind him. He took a few steps back then ran straight at Aegon, tackling him. Luke was so small, though, that his tackle did nothing but force Aegon to take a few steps back.
Aegon cackled. “This all you got?” He pushed Luke off of him then tackled him to the ground.
This time, Luke was pinned down. He flailed but couldn’t get any hit on Aegon. Aegon soon had all his limbs trapped on the grass.
“Call it!” Aegon yelled at you.
“One! Two! Three! Luke, you’re out!” you announced.
Aegon got off of Luke and offered him a hand. Luke merely glared at him and got up himself. Grass stains littered both of the boys’ clothes, something neither mother would be happy about. Luke grumbled something about cheating and walked off to the other stick fight by the trampoline. Aegon fell in time with you as you also made your way in that direction.
From what you could see, Aemond and Jace were in a heated battle. They hadn’t lost their sticks, unlike Aegon and Luke. It was as though you were watching a true sword fight. They lunged and parried like they’ve been training for this their entire lives.
“She’s gonna leave you behind, one day. She’ll figure out how boring you are!” Jace yelled at Aemond.
“She’s always liked us better than you. You might be her brother but you treat her like crap!” Aemond shot back.
You were confused. They were fighting about you?
Jace let out a primal scream as he ran at Aemond, ready to thrust the stick into him. Aemond blocked it and was able to disarm Jace.
“No!” cried Luke.
Jace, empty handed, stepped backwards away from Aemond. Aemond took his time, stepping slowly. Head slightly bent, he looked at Jace through his eyelashes. He had a sinister look on his face.
“She’s always deserved better. We’re better than you and Luke will ever be to her. You will regret all the times you’ve made her feel like less than nothing.” Dropping his stick, Aemond charged at Jace and tackled him to the ground.
Helaena started her count down. “One! Two!”
There was a blur, some scuffling, and the next thing you knew, Aemond was screaming with a giant cut up through the side of his face and over his eye.
You and Helaena shrieked at the sight of blood running down Aemond’s face. Immediately, you ran to him. Your eyes went to Jace but he was still on the ground breathing hard. What you saw next to him, however, shook you. Luke was kneeling next to his brother with a bloodied stick. Blood lightly splattered his clothes as well.
“LUKE!” Aegon roared. “What the fuck did you do to my brother?” He picked up Luke by his collar and threw him to the ground.
“Hey! Don’t hurt my little brother!” Jace got up in Aegon’s face.
He reeled back a fist and was ready to throw it but you grabbed his fist.
“Stop it, both of you! We need to get Aemond inside,” you pleaded.
“He got what was coming to him,” muttered Jace.
Ignoring the bickering boys, you gathered Aemond in your arms. He was a little heavy for you but you were able to carry him. “Keep your hand on your eye,” you told him. There wasn’t anything for you to use to staunch the bleeding. “Helaena, go get your mother.”
Helaena simply gave you a small nod before racing off to find her mother. Aegon was still yelling at Jace and Luke but was holding himself back. You could tell that much just from hearing them argue. When Aemond groaned you did your best to pick up the pace and get to the house.
“I wanted to make him pay,” he said weakly.
“Shh. It’s okay,” you assured him.
A scream pierced through the air. Looking up, you saw Alicent rushing towards you.
“Give me my boy, I need to get him to the emergency room.” Alicent looked at you children. “What happened?” She asked as she took Aemond from your arms.
“They were playing stick fights,” Helaena said quietly.
Alicent glared at the boys. “You will have to do a lot of explaining. Now, quickly, to the car.”
You and Helaena ran to the car while Jace and Luke stayed behind. Their mother slowly walked out of the house. She saw Alicent holding Aemond and concern flashed across her face but was soon replaced by indifference.
“Boys, it’s time to go home. I can see that we are not needed here anymore,” she called to them.
While you didn’t want to go with your family, you asked anyway, “What about me?”
“Don’t you want to stay with your other family?” your mother spat at you. “Come home whenever you’re done here.”
Tears threatened to spill from your eyes but you blinked them back. You could deal with your family later. What mattered first was Aemond.
When you got to the car, Alicent already had it running. Aemond was slouched in the passenger side seat in the front. You, Helaena, and Aegon squeezed in the back, all three of you worried for Aemond. Looking ahead, you could barely see Aemond. Every now and then he would groan but that was it. Alicent would look at him then back at the road. Normally, she was a very safe driver, and she still was as she drove to the emergency room, but she went fast this time.
Arriving at the emergency room, Alicent quickly parked then scooped Aemond out the passenger seat and ran to the entrance. She went straight to the front desk. You and the siblings scrambled out of the car behind her.
“Please, my son, I think he was stabbed in the eye,” she pleaded with the front desk lady.
The lady took a look at Aemond. “Remove your hand for a second, sweetie,” she said softly.
You gently took Aemond’s wrist and pried it off of his eye. Seeing all the blood, you gasped. There was so much of it. It didn’t seem like the flow stopped, only slowed down.
“Yes, we’ll take him in immediately,” the lady said. “Nurses! We need a stretcher over here now! Child with massive head injury!”
Nurses quickly surrounded Alicent and Aemond. They took him from her arms and placed him gently on the stretcher. Without his hand covering his face, you could see the jagged scar on Aemond. Your heart tightened at the sight of it. Aemond being hurt was the last thing you wanted. He got hurt defending you and that was something you’d have to carry for the rest of your life. You watched as they wheeled him away to the back. There was silence.
“It’ll probably be a long wait,” the front desk lady told Alicent. “You’re more than welcome to stay and wait for him but be prepared.”
“Yes, thank you,” Alicent replied. “Come along, children.”
She ushered you and Helaena and Aegon further into the waiting room. Luckily, there was an open semi comfortable couch for you all to sit on. You and Alicent sat in the middle. Helaena sat next to her mother and Aegon plopped down next to you. In the rush to get Aemond to the emergency room, no one brought anything to pass the time. Instead you all sat there quietly for a few minutes before Alicent broke the silence.
“I need you to tell me what happened, exactly what happened,” she requested.
“Like Heleaena said, they were playing stick fights,” you started off. “When we first got outside my brothers were being mean to me and Aemond and Helaena and Aegon. That made us all upset so Aegon came up with the idea to do stick fights. Helaena and I didn’t do any fighting; it was just the boys.”
“I don’t like how her brothers talk about her. They act like she’s not even their sister,” Aegon murmured.
Helaena picked up the story. “It was Aegon against Luke and Aemond against Jace. Everything was relatively okay, I think. No one got too badly hurt until everyone joined to watch Aemond and Jace fight.”
“I heard Jace,” you added in. “He was telling Aemond how I’d leave you all, how I’d forget you and never come back.” Tears gathered in the corner of your eyes for the second time that evening. “I would never leave all of you.”
“I know you wouldn't.” Alicent brushed back a stray hair.
“Aemond gained the upper hand. He was gonna win. He got Jace’s stick out of his hand and he was gonna tackle him to win it. But then out of nowhere, Like came in with a pointy stick and slashed Aemond's face.”
Aegon huffed. “He didn’t want to see his brother lose like him.”
Helaena shushed her brother.
“And now we're here,” you concluded. “I know my mom saw Aemond and the blood on Luke. She didn't seem concerned at all.”
“No, she did not,” agreed Alicent.
“I’m sorry my mother treats you like she treats me sometimes.”
“You don't need to apologize for her, sweetie. She is a grown woman and should know how to act better.”
A calm silence fell upon all of you once again. All of you were worried but knew there was nothing to be done except to wait.

Hazbin hotel college AU head cannons
Note: decided to write these out after reading @sprainedwriting’s fanfic about Adam being a frat boy and I took that concept and ran with it.
Obviously this is based off of my own university experience where I attend a really big public university in the southern US. so that’s where my takes are coming from.
This is also my first time writing anything on here so there’s that aswell.
Charlie
Majors in musical theatre, but not performance education. She wants to be the unhinged theatre teacher that everyone loves. Lives in one of those really fancy student apartment lofts with keke. And is part of the cat club where she feeds the cats on campus
Vaggie
She probably does something super hard like biomedical engineering (let’s go women in stem!) which takes up allot of her time already. Is also an RA for one of the dorms on campus which is good for her bc free housing and gets paid to do her homework at the front desk. Met Charlie in an English class and have been together ever since. When she’s not on call she’s spending the night at Charlie’s and Charlie’s almost always sitting at the front desk with vaggie even tho she doesn’t work or live at the dorm and no one says anything bc it’s just not that deep.
Alastor
Majors in audio engineering and runs the campus radio station that people definitely still listen too. He went to community college first then transferred to a four year (to save money ofc) and is a commuter where he still lives with his mom. Does work study where he works the front desk of the library where he does his homework and works on his scripts for his radio show. Has no interest in working with Vox since he runs the tv channel simply bc he doesn’t want all that extra work. Still takes his notes on pen and paper and still has a nightmare of a time figuring out to electronically submit all his assignments and take his tests.
Angel dust
Okay so hear me out he majors in math ikik it sounds crazy but every gay math major I’ve ever met acts just like Angel dust. Goes to raves and frat parties even tho the guys don’t want him there but he always brings girls with him so the kinda have to let him in. Does nude modeling for extra cash at the art school so he’s kinda a celeb over there even tho he’s not in anyway related to that major.
Husk
Majors in Restaurant and hotel management and is one of those college students that are in their late twenties so already has more life experience than most other ppl here so he doesn’t do allot of the stupid college that allot of other ppl do. Lives in some off campus apartment that’s just a large house rented out to students made to look like a apartment (yk the ones in talking abt) works at the dive bar located just off campus that everyone goes to atleast once in their four years.
Sir pentious
Majors in mechanical engineering or industrial design I can’t really decided. Definitely uses the 3D printer all the time and is on the robotics team, which wins every competition they go to.
Nifty
She’s changed her major so many times nobody knows anymore. Is part of the kpop club and has biases complete with intricately decorated covers, like she has so many photo cards. Also runs the campus hotties account where it’s just a bunch of candids of cute guys taken from far away. Will also get really pissed if you don’t wash your dishes bc it will attract bugs so if ur her roommate you better do the dam dishes.
Cherry bomb
Art major and is the one who got Angel the nude modeling gig. Is always pulling all nighters bc she kept postponing the assimgment till the last minute. Has probably vandalized a couple buildings surrounding the university but hasn’t been caught. Goes to raves and the aforementioned frat parties with Angel. Also has a traffic cone in her dorm room for no other reason than just bc.
Vox
Majors in multi media marketing, runs the campus tv and YouTube channel. Definitely the president of a frat that inflates his ego more than it already is. Always at sporting events at the front row with all the frat guys giving everyone the inside scoop and game commentary. Is very pissed that alastor won’t work with him. Treats himself like a campus celebrity even tho ppl could care less and are just trying to get their degree.
Valentino
majors in film and media productions yeah he’s one of those. Always asking if you’ve seen pulp fiction and telling you that you need to watch some random black and white movie that’s only in French. Will definitely invite you over to watch something with you but we all know that’s not the case. Also all his film projects has allot of unnecessary nudity and sex under the guise of artistic expression, even when it’s so not relevant to the plot. Unless it’s a film that he’s making for the university in which case Vox is controlling every aspect of it which in this case is a good thing. Smokes in his dorm room without a care in the world and has really loud inconsiderate sex at any random point in the 24 hour day cycle.
Velvette
Majors in public relations and runs the university’s Instagram account. She’s always walking up to ppl with a lil microphone to ask you to tell us what you’re wearing. Speaking off she always comes to class dressed up (like the international students) no leggings and tennis shoes for her. Also is definitely in a divine nine sorority, and runs their insta too.
Carmilla
She’s a professor for the aerospace engineering dept and shes here bc she got sick of making rockets for Lockheed Martin and reatheon. Hella smart and ppl are baffled that she chose to give up a seven figure job to teach a bunch of college kids but she’s so chill abt it tho.
Zestial
Definitely English lit professor, makes you read the books no one’s heard of and not the classics. Always brings his own open regular coffee mug from his house to sip his tea from instead of a thermos, everyone asks how he doesn’t spill it on his ride to work. Also just straight up has an electric kettle in his office so he can have tea whenever he wants. Takes turns with carmilla eating lunch in each other’s offices.
Rosie
Studies agriculture sciences and food processing. Will probably run a slaughter house when she’s done with her degree. Hangs out with Alastor in his radio booth from time to time just to gossip about whatever drama is going around lately. Wears long skirts and a tote bag all the time. Is always sweet to Charlie and Emily, also loathes Vox just as much as Alastor she just finds him annoying.
Lucifer
Is probably a religion professor that’s not religious at all and is super laid back in his class like one easy discussion board post a week. The kinda guy to be like “it’s so nice out let’s have class outside today guys” or “if I make this shot ur all getting extra credit on the quiz this week”.
Adam
Definitely majors in finance and is a frat boy. And his band plays at all the said frat parties. Is very insufferable to talk to at parties will try tell you how crypto is the currency of the future and how wolf of Wall Street is his favorite movie. Has a Saturdays are for the boys flag in his room and navy blue sheets. Oh did I mention he vapes he definitely vapes those Mike Tyson ones that taste awful and look like bricks yeah those. Always gets drunk at the tailgate way before the game is even started.
Lute
Yeah she’s in premed and wants everyone to know she’s better than you bc of it. Everyone else’s major is easy compared to hers so don’t you dare complain about all your assignments in her vicinity. She’s basically made it her whole identity like she’s in the premed honors society, future doctors of America. Types her notes on her laptop and then rewrites them with all her gel pens and fancy highlighters, like thee be so colorfull and pretty then the title would be something like blood clots. Still friends with Adam bc they went to the same highschool together and always helping him with his homework in turn he gets her into the tailgate tents and frat parties so she always gets free alcohol.
Emily
Majors in Elementary education and looks like it too, with the Stanley cup, James Avery charm bracelet, and all. She also takes super pretty notes but she does them in class which is super power all in itself, like her desk is scattered with gel pens and highlighters of every color and swears by her bullet journal. She also feeds the cats on campus with Charlie and runs the arts and crafts club on campus where they always host events like tote bag painting in the grass area of the university. Also doesn’t drink bc she’s not twenty one yet even tho she’s in college and definitely won’t smoke even tho most of the ppl that show up to her events are total potheads
Sera
She’s like the university president who doesn’t actually GAF abt the students and just fund’s athletics and raises tuition every year under miscellaneous fees. She tries to come off as supportive when she’s out in public but no one’s buying it.

" Like a cinnamon roll " - Batfam x Little Sister!Reader
Tumblr media
Request: Can I request a batfamily hc with an adopted little batsis who is younger than Damian pls? She's a cute little cinnamon roll and gets spoiled by her rich ansd supportive family.
A/N: (Ignore the tittle and image, I have no ideas) Thank you for the request!! And... I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO UPLOAD THIS 😓😭😓💔💔💔 I'M SO SORRY
It's short, yes ok, I admit it. But at least I uploaded thiss! And I'm also sorry if this isn't written the way you want, I'm sorry.
As usual. This Au is a combination of headcanons, comics, video games, series and wattpad, so not everything will be canon.
TW: nothing? no canon
Tumblr media
Dick Grayson / Nightwing
he loves you.
but he hardly has time to spend.
I think he is one of those brothers who lift you up in their arms as a tender greeting. (💗)
"What? I thought kids liked cereal for dinner…"
Don't take this the wrong way, he would like to have time to spend with you, but he has a VERY tight schedule…
Dick would be very protective and he would do everything possible so that you don't have any trauma (or something like that).
He is one of the charismatic brothers, always making you smile with his bad jokes.
And obviously always being by your side as a brother.
If you ever have a bad relationship with Bruce, Dick would cure those daddy issues for you. 🫶
Always giving you life lessons...
Dick would take you out for a walk in the afternoons (if he had time) to have a shake or ice cream.
Jason Todd / Red hood
okey, just let me.
"You want a beer, kid?"
I guess you hardly ever have interaction with each other.
yk, he has daddy issues x100
Jason is one of the brothers who sits you in front of the TV, puts on some cartoon and leaves you there while he does something.
He simply found out about your existence from the news that Bruce Wayne adopted another little girl or Dick told him.
Once he met you and saw how sweet, kind and innocent, he said to himself: "Time to be a good big brother."
Jason would be very overprotective of you, he wouldn't want anything to happen to you.
Sometimes he starts to think and goes blank when he thinks that you are going to be a teenager and have a partner who will hurt you.
He already planned different ways to kill them. Even if they are aliens.
Despite his tough and stern attitude, he also shows his emotional and tender side with you.
Tim Drake / Red Robin
It's a good brotherly relationship between you, honestly.
Tim, seeing you, so innocent and sweet, decided to be your biggest guardian. (Although there is Alfred as your "protector", but he wants to do it anyway)
Tim would help you with science, geography, math and whatever homework you need.
He may be a coffee addict, but he wouldn't give you coffee even if he was threatened with death. You are very small.
"ALFRED! Y/N ACCIDENTALLY DRINK FROM MY COFFEE MUG AND NOW LOOKS LIKE A DAMN ZOMBIE!!" (like you, fucking brum brum)
Forget what I say...
Support for you... whenever he feels like it.
Nah just kidding, he's very good to you, he loves you.
He would scold you, yes, but then he sees that you are angry with him, he feels bad now.
Cassandra Cain / Orphan
Cass would just be so sweet to you 😭
#bestbigsisterinthefuckingworld
She always makes sure you get anywhere safely and eat all your meals.
I feel like it would be two kinds of big sisters every time you get angry with her because you scolded her… It depends on her mood.
Like like. You go to your room, yell at her and close the door forcefully, she would be sad for your scream and feel bad about herself. BUT, in another case she may simply not care and yell back at you. "FINE!"
But you always return to being the united sisters you always were.
Very sweet, she will always be your support and is always giving you love.
She's someone who takes everything seriously, because you know. So...
If they insult you, let me tell you, she will give any child a death glare. Oh, and she would accuse those children to their parents.
Damian Wayne / Robin
NO INSPO WITH HIM, SORRY DAMIAN FANS, I LOVE YOU
At first he would be like: "And who is this..."
First, you must spend a lot of time with him so that he can trust you and that you are not some spy. /jk
Dami is a very mature boy for his age, so I don't think they do the typical jokes between brothers.
Although, he likes to make you laugh with bad jokes that he copied from Dick.
Damian is not so good at "cohabit" with small children or those his age, but he would try with you.
He would also be a very protective brother, like a faithful guardian.
At first there would be a bit of misunderstanding between him and bruce, but it was later resolved once he liked you.
It would help you with nightmares (if you have them), allow you to go into his room and sleep with him.
A good brother once you know him well. He loves you.
Duke Thomas / The Signal
I think he would also be a very sweet and loving brother.
I think he's one of those older brothers who lifts your feet up to his and starts doing a silly, adorable little dance. Love him.
Sometimes he doesn't take you seriously because of how adorable you are.
I just imagined Duke having cuteness overload watching you try to help him in the kitchen or with his homework.
He would let you try your "makeups" on him, he doesn't care about the teasing, anything just to be your favorite big brother.
The tremendous scolding that kids who make fun of you get from Duke.
I feel like he would be very patient with you, always.
He finds it funny that anyone can bribe you with a simple chocolate or candy.
He would teach you how to play different games. Like football, he would celebrate every time you score a simple silly goal.

stressed out - best friend coryo x reader
You and Coryo had always been close friends. Having grown up together in the Capitol and used to depending on each other for emotional support. Though it was almost always you supporting him emotionally. Which is why it was weird for him when you had actually blown up at him.
It was exam season in the Academy. With exams came stress though Coriolanus had nothing to stress about. He never missed a class, always took decent notes, made sure to do well on all of his homework. I mean, the future President of Panem must do well in order to run the country someday. You on the other hand, though you were as perfect as Coriolanus, you struggled with a few of your classes. Mostly just in your math classes but regardless, you were stressed out.
You spent most of your days studying, ignoring any attempts at people trying to interact with you. You needed to do well in order to get a high grade. And math was your absolute worst subject. So when Coriolanus, who felt neglected, walked into the empty classroom that you were studying in, you felt annoyed. He knew you needed to focus. He knew you needed to study and receive a very good grade. You had told him numerous of times.
“Coriolanus, how many times have I told you that I don’t have time to hang out?” You said, annoyed as you look up from your work. You looked exhausted, anyone could see that. But Coriolanus knew that it ran deeper than just normal exhaustion.
“Just wanted to see if you needed any help.” He said simply.
You rolled your eyes, clearly irritated. “I don’t need any help,” You said harshly. “I just need to focus on studying so I can pass the exam tomorrow without everyone bombarding me!”
Your family had high expectations of you which added to your stress. Your mother wanting you to have very high grades so that you can become something of yourself. It was a lot of pressure, constantly being told you’re not doing good enough in her standards. You couldn’t help raising your voice.
Coriolanus frowned when you raised your voice at him. “I understand you’re stressed but there’s no need to take it out on me, Y/N.” He exclaimed, furrowing his eyebrows.
You shook your head. “I’ve been focusing so much on trying to study and it’s not good enough. My grades aren’t good enough,” You exclaimed, your eyes watering. “My mother is still saying I’m worthless because I’m not doing good and I-” Your voice cracked as you began to cry, unable to help it when you let out a sob.
Coriolanus’s eyes widened as he saw you crying. Of course he’s seen you cry numerous times before but he’s never really quite sure of what to do. Usually, you calm yourself down before he has to do anything but this wasn’t the case as you continued your sobs. He was frozen for a moment, trying to think of what the best course of action would be. He could just leave the room to allow you time to collect yourself. But wouldn’t that make him a bad friend? Anytime Coriolanus had a similar moment, you always comforted him by holding him, running a hand through his curls, whispering sweet things into his ear. Should he do the same?
He stepped forward, walking over to you and taking a seat right beside you as you hid your face with your hands as you cried. He stiffly put an arm around you, bringing you closer to him. You leaned into him, immediately resting your head on his shoulder as you continued your sobs. You felt embarrassed crying in front of Coryo even if he’s your best friend. Coriolanus took a deep breath before he relaxed, wrapping his other arm around you, his hand resting on your head.
“It’s okay,” He murmured, holding you tightly against him. “You work so hard.” His voice was soft and comforting as he spoke to you, moving his fingers in your hair. “Your mother will likely never be happy with what you do, even if you get the highest grades or end up with the world’s best profession. And that’s okay.” Coriolanus continued to speak, rocking you slightly like you would with him when he was down. “I think you’re doing great. And if you’re really struggling, it never hurts to ask for help, okay? I can help you.”
You didn’t reply as you tried to just focus on his words. You sniffled, trying to calm yourself down.
“I’m here for you, okay?” Coriolanus murmured, pressing a kiss into your hair. And so, maybe everything will be okay.

I walked into my brother's room, and she was there, sitting on his bed, watching him talk about rugby with monotony. She looked bored. Both of them noticed my silent presence and turned towards the doorway, where I was standing. My brother frowned.
“What do you want?”
“I don't understand my French homework.”
“I'm not going to help you. Get out.”
I ignored him. I remained still, looking at him with resentment, but not because he told me no. I glanced at her and spoke again.
“Mom said not to close your door when you have visitors.”
“I don't care what she says, she's not here."
“I'll go get something to drink.” his friend said, standing up without moving a muscle on her face since I entered the room. She walked past me, and I turned around and followed her as if I wanted to follow her.
Victoria Spring is my older brother's best friend. Damian. Damian is an idiot. He told me he met Victoria when they went on a school trip, she was accompanying her brother, a boy my age, and as soon as they saw each other, they started talking like they'd known each other forever.
I don't believe him.
Tori Spring is a quiet and reserved girl, spends a lot of time in her head, and doesn't express what she feels, neither with words or gestures, which confuses you about whether she's listening attentively or planning to kill you.
Damian is obsessively in love with her.
She acts indifferent and apathetic with every gesture of affection she receives by his part.
If I were in her place, I'd do the same.
I still don't know why she's still his friend, why she hasn't hit him or escaped his sight, at least once a week she's in his room listening to him be an idiot, nodding or shaking her head when asked for an opinion.
At least once a week I see her go down to the kitchen to get a glass of water, as if her throat was dry from talking. I've never heard a word come out of her mouth when I walk by my brother's room.
Today was no exception.
“What was he talking about?”
“Rugby, and his poor performance in math.”
How do you tolerate him? I wanted to ask. I made a silent noise in response, taking a package of cookies from the cabinet and opening it. For a moment, I thought about offering her one and continuing the conversation, but I didn't. I thought, we're not friends. There's no reason to be so open with her.
“Do you know anything about rugby?”
Shut up, idiot. It's obvious I don't know how to start or keep a conversation going. Especially when I'm slightly more open or talkative than her. Barely.
“My brother is on the team.”
It's not an answer. She also has no interest in thinking about one. I wanted to say I was too, but it would sound very...desperate.
Hello, I'm your best friend's brother and I'm desperate to have a good conversation with you before you go back to my brother's room, so let me talk to you about rugby.
“I know how to make diet lemonade.” I said.
'Why are you telling me?' She responded, still with her muted or almost disinterested voice. “Are you going to make some?"
I shrugged. “Could. Next time you come over, I'll have a pitcher of diet lemonade ready for you.”
She didn't ask how I knew she liked diet lemonade, probably thinks Damian told me, but that's not true. He barely knows anything about his best friend. I found out one day when her brother and she were joking about how the school cafeteria's bad mechanism didn't sell diet lemonade. I listened and simply stored the information.
The truth is, I didn't know why I remembered it, maybe I wanted to make her feel good and comfortable in a house as messy as the Winter's.
